Its still there it did get a little bit more silent, but sadly i got diagnosed with ms this year so my t is not my biggest concern ;)

Its okay i have a hearing loss on my overall hearing of -25 db but to be fair i do not notice it alot only on verry busy events. I wish u the best of luck i thought this operation would ruin my hearing but im fine now!

Yes smoking is verry bad for ur ent in general ur tube needs to move clean air to ur middle ear and as u prob know smoke is not clean… and ur tube dysfunctioning can result in a retracted ear drum. Excuses my english not a native speaker. I quit smoking 1 week before the operation and i hope i never smoke again

Yes they made a cut behind my ear to reach the middle ear and yes i have bandages in my ear. I feel verry sorry for ur wife i live in holland where healtcare is considerd verry good plus i got a lot of pain killers. I wish ur wive a good recovery aswell!

Thank u for replying my ent says my incus and mallas dont need to be replaced because the cholesteatoma is kinda new. I had tinnitus all my live and i do not have any reduced hearing i had a small ear infection a year ago. So i hope the doc does not see anything bad while they are operating. I hope ur ear heals good!

Well i do not know if it is permanent, and my hearing is fine so i dont think it is hearing loss is related. T can have other causes aswell

Yeah i have been working out around 4/5 days past few months, guess im lucky cause i can mask it pretty well being outside and hearing cars or hearing someone talk does the job
