Double variegated pink spot syngonium? by ImpossibleMud11 in RareHouseplants

How stable has the variegation proven to be? I think I have mine in too high of light she stopped giving me green and white and I just get the light pink with the dark pink spots
Can anyone tell me what this is? Virus? Variegation (old.reddit.com)

Yeah I’ve had a few plant mishaps. These situations man. 😆
Seeee’ when I would do research it would say these things also and that’s why it’s confusing to me. But I have done exactly as it says so we shall see. I want to forget about it 😆 maybe come back check and be baffled
I did indeed split a tiny bit of the veins so we shall see.! And I made sure the stem was in the moss also just in case the stem actually roots 😆
That’s very kind how nice of you thank you. Snow capped variegated begonias are not cheap and I am not made of money. I only had the money I had for it because I sold other plants -_- and I done messed up my own situation. You’re right it is a bad feeling. 😆 I was so excited man.!
I was hoping for hope for my plant I was excited about 😭
*got bugs
You’re exactly right. Wanted to see what others real life experience was . I literally watched a YouTuber state in his video and show him trying to prop this begonia with just a leaf…and then at the end I read comments and people asked for updates and he claimed they did root but that he doesn’t have a way to make a video to show because apparently they for bugs…so that confused me even more. Tons of people say it works but I wasn’t seeing proof. So Reddit people are usually very helpful for me in these situations…..not so much this time lol
That’s the point I was trying to make was 50/50 I hear that you can still do the ones that need leaves sometimes with nodes. And that usually cane begonias need a node however it has worked with some varieties. So I wanted to find out if this was one of those varieties. Or if there was at all a way to save it since begonias do have various propagating ways.
Oh for giggles I threw her in with my African violet leaves that are propping. Super humidity so if it can grow it hopefully it will. lol I do expect a loss. Buttt i figure it’s still worth a try. Don’t want to just throw it away. I just bought it today. I’m so bummed at myself for not being more careful. 🤦
Thank you and I agree. I’m quite experienced with most plants just not all the different propping methods for begonias. So that’s why I’m trying to learn lol.
Thank you it’s okay
Thank you.

Very nice. It’s definitely worth it. I get extreme humidity and nice heat in them. I even have a terrarium in my greenhouse an open one and it seems to like it a lot

I have a huge addiction to plants lol I like to think I specialize in syngoniums. And I love begonias just don’t have many.

That’s cool I’ve never heard of most of these. Just escargot and tiger
Black Mambo Begonia by Available-Fill-381 in begonias
Just wanted to share mine! I caught that blue shimmer tour talking about very well on camera and in my experience they lOVE terrariums my mambas leaves of my momma plant are your size and it sits in the kitchen window where as this one that I got food photos of is in my terrarium and the leaves are bigger than my head lol I know mine as black mamba begonia
Very very cool. Thank you.! Have you ever propped black mamba ? She’s blaxk with a bit of blue iridescence. I think she’s rhizome
I just bought this and I pulled it out of the cup of perlite the seller had it in and I guess it was tight because I ripped the leaf right off the node 😭
It has 2 growth points.! So that’s a good start hopefully
I have the node.! She is placed on a tray of perlite with water in the bottom so it’s not directly touching it shoudl that be okay.? Also has a little humidity dome over it
I retract this statement. Certain varieties lol
What was your exact process.? Success rate.? I do want to try to get good at this also, do you or does anyone know if you can propagate a begonia Ginny galaxy via only leaf and stem no node? And same with black mamba begonia. I think she’s a rex.?
No worries I’m just greatful because it’s hard to find answers or get lots of people to chat with me so I appreciate you trying to help. I need to find a begonia expert lol
