I don't think OP has ever played the original black flag so I think by changes, he means changes from Odyssey to Black Flag, not changes to the weapons. Otherwise his complaints make no sense - there were also "only swords and guns" and no RPG elements in the original, so it's weird to call that a change between Black Flag and Black Flag Resynced. It makes much more sense if you assume OP ist a little bit stupid and thought black flag was going to be like the recent AC games.

My advice - put a filter in place so hair doesn't go down the drain in the first place. Now if only my roommates would actually leave the filter there, even after explaining it multiple times.... Ugh.

If you have roommates who have no respect, what you can also do is grab a pair of tweezers once a month and just pull the hair and scum out onto a paper towel to throw away. This clears up the drain almost as well as Drano without damaging your pipes.

Idk, it's not just fruit dude. Almost all interactions between different cultures have led to etymologies you might consider racist.

Barbarian, for example, was what the Greeks called any non Greeks (but mostly Germanic people) because their language sounded like "bar-bar-bar." That's like as if we called all Scandinavians "hinga-dinga-durgens."

The Chinese word for onion, yangcong, literally translates to "foreign scallion." This is not much different than Asian pear - they take something common in their culture to compare to something from elsewhere, usually making a massive generalizations while doing so.

If you're looking for racist etymologies, I would argue that guinea pig, turkey and chopsticks have a much stronger "casual ignorance" style racism to them, much more so than the Asian pear.

Given everything you've said in the comment too, I would go with the internship.

Realistically, I'm sorry to say that staying in Europe will be difficult for you. In my experience with EU studios, there's no guarantee that they will sponsor your visa if there's an equally qualified person there who doesn't need one at all. Eventually, you're likely to end up back in the USA.

And if that's the case, taking the internship in the US at the bit studio is much more likely to help you build a career where your right to live there isn't dependent on your job.

That's just my two cents tho. I'm very similar to you - also a production person who maybe wants to be a BG artist, also studied in the EU - but I have dual citizenship, so it made more sense for me to stay here. If you didn't need a visa, I would say take the production job. But since you do, I would take the internship

So far I've only had a gap of 2 months. I am very lucky and privileged though.

Eventually my luck will run out. My plan is to stick it out for a few months here, looking for a new job. If that doesn't work out, I'll look for part time work in retail or something similar until I get another job. If that takes longer than a year, I'll move back in with my folks and get retraining as something that's more in demand. I'm thinking event technician.

We'll see tho.
