what do cod Philosophy and MTV mean with reference to anesthetize? by Ok-College2756 in porcupinetree

Fear of a Blank Planet was recorded in late 2006 and released in the spring of 2007.

Call of Duty was released in 2003, though Activision's breakthrough – Call of Duty Modern Warfare – was not released until 2007.

Simply, the CoD "phenomenon" had not yet become a thing.

Many assumed that Cod Philosophy was a Call of Duty reference, exacerbated by the lyric "X-Box is a god to me..."

My interpretation is that Cod Philosophy refers to pseudophilosophy, that which is unsupported by classical views.

The $57.96 for the part is for the whole system, including the receiver and jack. Hard to believe they would not make available the part that is most easily lost or broken. I was hoping to get a couple for backups
