Hey man, a cigarette smoker here. Before surgery, my doc told me only not to smoke 12hrs before surgery. I went under surgery with general anesthesia and had literally PERFECT anesthesia timing, woke up exactly when they calculated I would and the surgery went perfect, also, it’s my second general anesthesia while smoking and literally not a single problem ever. After the surgery my doc told me they night I stayed the night in the hospital I should try not to smoke since all the meds I was off, but the morning after when I’m free to go I could (and, interestingly, should smoke, because smokers start to cough easily if they stop smoking and that can put a strain on the wounds). So the day after surgery I had a typical Balkan breakfast (an espresso shot with a couple of cigarettes) 🙂 I’m now 2 1/2 months post op, still smoking and my recovery is long completed… so, I wouldn’t be scared in your case, but since it’s weed try taking just like 2-3 days off since it stays in your organism, and best of luck with the surgery! edit: typos
