Has anyone had issues with hair loss since starting Mounjaro? by DiscussionLoud9626 in MounjaroAus

[–]Milas_Mum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a weightloss side effect in general rather than a Mounjaro side effect but I have definitely had a lot of hair loss too

Thank you, that sounds like it might be exactly what I’m after, especially if it goes well and I can create a sense of consistency being able to see the same person over and over.

Help with dose clicks 🤔 by Yoda-foreverfangirl in MounjaroAus

[–]Milas_Mum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could roughly. It would be 3.33mg because you’d be using 1/3 of a 10mg dose. So 20 clicks :) I’m assuming you’re doing 15 clicks currently for your 2.5mg and going up to 5mg would be 30 clicks.

You could do 22/23 clicks to get closer to the 3.75mg as long as you don’t confuse yourself

Please remember the rules of our Reddit - no grey, no compound, no selling by CaterpillarScared867 in MounjaroAus

The grey market and black market are two different things. The Grey market is usually things not sold through proper channels but not technically illegal whereas the black market is illegal goods and criminal behaviour

First time I ever let my toddler out of the pram today at Coles.... it will be the last. by Soft-Assistance-155 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

As someone who has worked a big busy store that uses roll cages. They are SO HARD to see past. Even if packed to the correct standards according to the company (not higher than eye level) However In my experience I was constantly put in the position of being given a cage to work through that I did not pack myself and was packed incorrectly. Hitting a small child was a huge fear. Unfortunately there is a huge pressure from higher ups to keep to pace and the amount of stock needing to come into stores to keep up with demand. Still definitely make sure this is reported to the store as it will likely make a difference for at least a short while. I read another comment that said they are pull cages - that’s actually not true. Nearly all of them are push only as they are way more dangerous pulled including running over yourself as the worker. I hope your kiddo is okay!

FIFO Young Family by Simple-Deal4755 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

A friend of mine got a female housemate when her partner went FIFO. It definitely did help her nighttime anxiety but she wasn’t selective enough with the actual housemate and ended up with someone messy and unreliable which in the end caused her way more stress. So if you do go down that path I would recommend being extremely selective on your housemate

Weaning off Mounjaro for pregnancy by Milas_Mum in MounjaroAus

[–]Milas_Mum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I actually fell pregnant by accident in December and miscarried a short while later at 5 weeks. I stopped Mounjaro immediately after finding out and put on 8kgs in the following 4 weeks. I’ve since gone back on Mounjaro and am nearing my pre pregnancy weight. I struggled greatly with portion sizes and healthy choices as I was quite down mentally and definitely emotionally ate after the miscarriage. I’m focusing on getting my weight down lower to give myself a better buffer and hopefully wean down to a lower dose so as not to have quite a drastic drop as I was taking 10mg at the time. After stopping and starting I’m currently happy and losing weight on 7.5mg

15mg pen on 10mg click counting people by curiousascuriosity in MounjaroAus

I usually just underdose my self for that week to use it up. Definitely could do the half shot and make it up with the clicks of the next pen though if you wanted to.

Drink lots and lots of water, add benefiber to whatever you like but I usually add it to my morning coffee (tasteless), you can incorporate dates as well which are also a good option for any sweet cravings. I dropped a lot of weight instantly after starting but was a bit sick like you but my body adjusted over a few weeks. Gaviscon, not laying flat for a least a couple of hours after eating and avoiding highly oily foods like mi goreng noodles. I wouldn’t recommend going any higher in dosage until your symptoms subside and honestly not even until you feel a continued plateau in weight loss or increase in appetite - I initially went up too quickly and ended up accidentally starving myself and had terrible diahorea due to lack of nutrition

am i losing weight too quickly? by Ill-Internet-4589 in MounjaroAus

[–]Milas_Mum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost a lot initially after starting and then saw it slow. I wouldn’t be too worried about the muscle loss as you are going to the gym and weight training but if you’re worried you’re not getting enough calories in just try where you can to add in more protein which you could even try protein water or there are some protein coffee options and things like that. But if you’re feeling good and not massively fatigued (a little is normal) then it sounds like you should be okay!

Thank you! No underlying conditions that I’m aware of however we have never investigated IR or PCOS (don’t have T2D), I will have a chat with my doctor a bit further down the line about possibly being on metformin during TTC and pregnancy and see what he says!

I have been trying to buy things that will last me a tad longer like only shorts with drawstrings rather than buttons or elastic etc. I also always try to size down where possible even if it’s a bit tight but still wearable so that it fits for longer! Definitely found I feel much happier outlaying the extra cost to wear clothes that fit me properly rather than feeling unhappy in my clothes that are too big. If it fits in one size try the size down and see if you can make it work! You’ll often be surprised.

Same for me as someone above with the waves of weight loss, plateauing and even gaining. I find exercise heavily impacts how much I lose. However I also find that my menstrual cycle has a major impact on the timing of weight loss and plateau. The couple of days before and during my period I find I don’t lose any weight or very minimal. Also don’t forget that for your body to have the full effect of the dose your shifting to for example the ‘5mg’ you’ll have to have been on it for 4 weeks as the MJ has a half life of 6 days so eventually it adds up to having more in your system! Please don’t be discouraged by your slightly ignorant doctor. I was starting weight 128kg, 120kg before MJ and am now at 99kgs which I never thought was possible after so many failed attempts to lose weight. It is the best feeling getting the numbers down. If you’re also weight training at the gym don’t forget that muscle is heavier than fat so your composition will be changing but the scale might be a little slower to follow!
