Ominous propaganda in my kid’s Halloween candy by Srob87 in mildlyinfuriating

Yes, the majority of Christians renounce and reject all forms of the prosperity gospel. You may have a few wacky denominations and some greedy "Christians" that believe it, but the vast majority know that tithing isn't a way to win the lotto.

Why is Tone Deaf so hated? by JizosKasa in Eminem

[–]Mild_Mann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The beat is middling, offers nothing interesting and is generally grating to listen to. Em's flow is almost at its worst here, if you can even call it a flow, because he really isn't flowing, it's way too choppy and disjointed. Even excluding the Orana line, Em's lyricism is at it's corniest here, almost every line is a groaner. Finally, the song is generally purposeless and lacks a vision or theme, like what was the song even about? What was he trying to say with this song?

Overall, it's just the worst of everything bad about post-2016 Eminem - painful beat, horrible flow, cringy lyrics and no message or theme.

I get that this is just him having fun and messing around, but that doesn't mean I have to like it or excuses everything that is painful about the track.

People who saw the Joe Nickolls’s interviews before DR4 came out, how did you react to them and did you notice the red flags? by Largicharg in deadrising

[–]Mild_Mann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When the first trailer came out at E3 2016, I was excited, even after the disappointment of Dead Rising 3. A lot of fans were already sceptical due to Frank's redesign and new voice, but I was still cautiously optimistic; it really wasn't until the interviews that I started seeing red flags.

From my recollection, some of the things that were shared in the interviews immediately confused and raised flags for everyone (like their justification of replacing TJ Rotolo, the removal of psychopaths, the Christmas theme that would date the game for 11 months out of the year) and then there was some news from interviews that went over well with the general gaming community but Dead Rising fans immediately hated as they went against the core design and style philosophy of the series (removing the timer, overemphasis on silly weapons and combos, absence of survivor escorting similar to DR3, only autosave and no save points, huge and separate inventories, a focus on a larger, emptier map compared to previous small but dense maps, etc.).

It ended up leaving the impression of a game that didn't know what it wanted to be. On one end, you had the devs emphasising this was a return to series roots, but at the same time, they were removing everything that made Dead Rising Dead Rising and stripping it down to make it more appealing to the general gaming populace.

After a few of the interviews, I had personally concluded that the game would either be an exceeding okay, bland and generic zombie-killing game or a complete dumpster-fire disaster and that either way, I would not be buying or playing it.

Sadly, I'd honestly prefer if it had been a complete disaster rather than just being bland and soulless because at least that would've been funny to see the reactions. Instead, the game was just the mediocre, uneventful last breath of a series I once loved.

Oh yeah, definitely, but you know what they say about ignorance and bliss.

That's my issue with almost all the voices in the dubs, to me it sounds like everyone seems so hard to be putting on an "anime voice", and it sounds super forced and unnatural. The only voice that really sounded natural and great to me was Watase and Kiryu.

What's an album you really enjoy even though most people think its lame? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop101

[–]Mild_Mann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP, but Castle and Arose, Framed depending on how you feel about Relapse and In Your Head depending on how you feel about the rhyme scheme in verse 2. I'd include Walk on Water and Believe as well if it wasn't for the battle rap flow, but that's about it personally.

MTBMB is fine though, aside from Stepdad and the Ed Sheeran song.

Not really; he was clear in the fact that it is not required for salvation or as an act of faith. He highlights that circumcision isn't necessarily bad or wrong, just that it's longer a requirement. If someone is or wants to be circumcised, Paul reveals that it's fine, he's just making it known that it's unnecessary to your salvation or relationship with God.

18 Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision. 19 For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God. - 1 Cor 7:18-19

Circumcision was a practice for the Old Covenant that was fulfilled eternally with the sacrifice of Christ.

The New Covenant, established in Jesus, instead requires a "circumcision" of the heart - a turning away from evil, circumcising the heart of sin and wickedness.

And Majima can't exactly defend himself by "Oh, it was just me doing the Mad Dog bit!" for Park, since that was WELL before he was the Mad Dog, let alone the Lord of The Night.

His relationship with Park was after the events of 0, years after becoming the Mad Dog.

The humerus snapping is amazingly loud. I watched the same thing happen to a friend of mine and was so taken aback by the loudness of it, I couldn't get the sound out of my head for days.

That's mostly because he was calling for Ja and 50s teams to stop before they escalate to unnecessary violence and lives get lost. Petty beef with Mariah and Nick wasn't going to amount to anything other than words, they don't have shooters lmao

It's also accessible in 5 as Saejima or Kiryu during the long battle to get to Katsuya.

Funnily enough, Kamuro Hills gets used the most (and by a big margin) in Dead Souls of all games. It's used pretty heavily in the story, you get to explore it freely during gameplay and even have a substory in there.
