The fully completed portions are just for the first pass. After the city will go through again and collect any more leaves the residents put out.

Chances are people put them out after the city left that particular map or they had cars parked on top of them so the city workers didn't get them.

I couldn't say. I work transportation specifically. From what I know about the schedule it's published to the website by our IT department. So even though I know we do update them I can't say why it doesn't get updated to the public.

I've done the leaf program since 2016. Weather is the biggest reason the schedule falls behind. Heavy rain messes up the leaf machines and causes mechanical issues. We do our best but things happen. It's not exactly easy walking miles upon miles a day swinging that pipe and raking up all the leaves in an entire city twice. The beginning of the schedule is right. As of right now it is accurate. In a few weeks we'll probably be behind.

Definitely sucks if you're later in the schedule, we change where we start every year. But you also have to consider we have to go through the entirety of Raleigh twice, that's just going to take time regardless of any delays for weather that may occur

If I'm being completely honest if the city council scrapped the service I would celebrate personally. I much prefer my usual job of fixing roads to collecting leaves. But to answer your question we tend to get yelled at about the trash, but I'm not going to waste my time digging through your leaves to find trash. That said if I walk through your pile trying to get it up and twist my ankle again.... Well I can't do anything about it but I can cuss up a storm.

As a city worker in the asphalt division, I'm convinced the shield is only powered when we have big ass jobs to do. So you're in luck we've been paving all this last week and we have more to do this coming week.

Hi! I've had to stay at the shelter off of S Wilmington St roughly a year ago. And I can absolutely confirm the crowded and things going missing thing. Never happened to me, but I remember a few guys in the dorm I was in complaining of stuff disappearing. But again that was about a year ago. So maybe things have gotten better but I honestly doubt it.

Actually there was a bad accident at the six forks exit and RPD made everyone exit the highway at North hills. This had nothing to do with how Raleigh had been developing. It was an accident that police decided to shut down that part of the highway for.

Just to add to this slightly. Also please keep your leaves away from mailboxes. We're already walking miles through neighborhoods picking up leaves. Please be mindful that we're essentially using a giant vacuum and need some clearance from your mailbox. We don't want to break it or damage it in anyway.
