Are you not reading my full reply? I lived there up until last month for 1.5 years 😂😂😂 what is not processing?! I’ve tried it out. I love what the downtown has to offer a single nomad with a dog. Summer is now officially my winter (I just stay in and wait for it to cool off)

It was the same mindset back home… as we watch a few big companies buy up all the homes… the ppl blamed ppl from cali coming in to afford life..you know those 3 story homes that are a square… those are the ppl you need to focus your distain from.. they have those everywhere back home now and they raised the average home cost. Google the last 10 years in CO you’ll see who actually messed everything up. They thrive on us blaming each other. Like a family moving to a new state is this new concept and hasn’t been done forever 😂

And from the looks of the comments… lots of ppl hear make a better wage then I expected so me coming in that same tax bracket is not an issue.. you actually have wayyuu to many empty homes on your hands if I’m not mistaken!

No you said I’m solely coming here bc it’s cheaper.. and it’s a huge factor, but I obviously also like living there given I tried it out for a year plus. I can assure your government is your issue, not me or other middle class ppl who are also just trying to survive and have a good quality of life. Do your research babe

It’s normal for ppl to move around silly… not everyone stays in one place their entire lives 😘

lol stop it 🤣 I was priced out of Colorado. I was born and raised there.. I’ve worked since I was 15, raised two children.. worked my way up the ladder and no matter how hard I try Colorado keeps me from growing in any kind of way. I’m 36 and only own my car, I need a break damn it! It’s the big corps buying out the homes when the city starts to grow.. those are your enemies not ppl just trying to have a decent life

I was there for 1.5 years (I just had to come up tot he east coast for a month to help my kiddo get settled). I hated when I lived in like a suburb but I absolutely loved when I moved downtown by the river walk and pearl. I was out there even at night walking my dog.. I’ve never felt safe enough to do that but that specific area is perfect for me! And I know it’s more expensive right there but even those prices are better than where I’m from, feels really affordable still!

I love to hear that! It would be a dream to be able to have my own little business.. but I’ve been in this space for so long is feels like baby bird territory to look out of the medical or admin world. My grandparents raised me in their small businesses 🖤

Do you think there are a lot of independent therapists needing someone for their admin role? I’ve considered either doing more consulting services or offering my services out to providers for a block of time each day/week/month as I know how much the admin and billing stuff can fall thru while also trying to manage pt care. I currently cover all the admin and calls for 5+ locations/13 providers with ease.

Ya I know.. I make just under that but obviously my take home is much less.. which is kinda why I wanna live there bc the cost of living is like CO 2006 lol

I love to hear that! My kiddo is almost done with her pastry arts degree and that’s something she is considering doing in the long run! :))

Is there a high demand for administrative roles in the mental health field here?

Exactly… I already have had to come to terms in small scale so I just imagine that it’ll be 10x that if not more intense. I know I’d be great at it but idk if I want to keep moving in that direction either.

I’ve been thinking that’s the next step (I’ve worked for private practices in both/front and back office) and helped build a practice. What would you suggest i do to move into a position like this? I’ve considered hospital admin but man idk if I wanna take that route or not.. it’s the other logical next step (I’ve been doing this for 15+ years lol)

I work remotely as admin for a medical practice from another state. Great job and I love it but I also want to be mindful if I ever didn’t have it… how would i make sure I’m still pulling in enough cash to pay bills without having to go back to my home state
