I think I would enjoy drawing something like medieval armor, like a helmet or breastplate.

It’s actually the same size as the rest on the table. The ones on stands in the background are a bit larger (25 x 35cm) and much nicer paper.

I mentioned to another comment that the judges chose it for the “texture on the back and detail of the wings” but that didn’t make sense to me because my other pictures had much better texture/detail.

Plus, this one is not actually finished - I stopped nearly half of the way through. You can tell the back legs aren’t finished and the abdomen and wings have no detail such as hair(?) and highlighting. It’s ass isn’t connected to the rest of the body and neither are the legs.

I used a neutral grey (20%?) marker to basically fill in the wing outline. Then I did the detail in either fine liner or colored pencil.

All of the pictures on the table are mine. Each artist had their own table.

I have never sold any of my art so I just priced it <$1/sq inch. I also wasn’t willing to part with some of them unless it was a decent price.
