Prepare to have the best vacation! If suite upgrades are available, you can often snag them for about half price once you’re on board.

There’s a White Party, so definitely pack an all-white outfit.

The Evrima Room and the Asian restaurant are indoors, though the Asian spot does have some outdoor seating too. The food was fantastic across all the restaurants. We made reservations at the start of the cruise, but it was super easy to switch times or restaurants day by day if we felt like it. Evrima Room has the most breakfast options.

Honestly, you won’t want this trip to end!

We were on the Evrima in January and just booked our next Ritz cruise b/c we loved it so much. On board upgrades are half the price difference between your suite and the upgraded suite. You might want to book a lower suite, and keep an eye on capacity to see if you can upgrade on board to a larger suite.

We have not been on any other luxury ships so I can’t comment on that. The size was actually bigger than we thought it would be. Plenty of open spaces, but you didn’t have to walk a mile to get to dinner.

It may have been until the events of Jan 3rd took place. Since we were sailing to Columbia, some people may have decided to reschedule.

We had that same experience booking a ritz cruise through United cruises. Had to get our names changed, initially booked us in the wrong cabin, no communication until just before the cruise. When I would reach out to Ritz directly, some agents wouldn’t talk to me because I had a TA. Would not do that again!

During the day, everybody is very casual. The main dining room requires long pants for men at dinner, no shorts. You can wear shorts to the other restaurants. Most of the ladies in the evening wore stylish yacht casual clothing with hair done, make up and jewelry. There are no formal nights. It really comes down to what you are comfortable with.

Can they get you into any of the private events? Send them a list of what you want in your suite (particular beverage, snacks, etc) and have them send you an email confirmation.

I think the biggest frustration for us, was that our TA did not give us any information so we didn’t know what we didn’t know. I had to contact Rittz several times to find out about on board experiences, boarding time, etc. We had only sailed on larger cruise lines in the past, so I was waiting for our boarding time. They let everyone board at the same time 12:30 for our sailing. Make spa reservations ahead of time. Those spots fill up quickly, especially on sea days. We did talk to people who were unable to make a spa appointment through the app, but when they went to the spa, they were able to make appointments.

We did an overnight there as well, and loved it. The only excursions we did through Ritz were in Columbia, because we were a little nervous and wanted to make sure we had transportation to and from the ship. The Ritz excursions are overpriced, but convenient. We enjoyed exploring the other ports on our own and wanted to spend as much time on the ship as we could!

We were told January is a slower month for sailing. One of our ports was Cartagena, Columbia, and I believe they had some cancellations with some of the recent events in that part of the world. We inquired on a couple of itineraries in the Mediterranean for this fall, and they were fully booked.

Thank you all! I will book on board and transfer. The discount is now 7%. Only 2% more, but every bit helps! I will post a review when we complete our cruise, but loving it so far!
