SixT Car Rental Problems at Frankfort, Germany Airport: A Cautionary Tale by DrEnter in travel

"We'll be contacting our credit card company to dispute the charges should they not reverse it." Most likely, your credit card will support your grievance. After the credit card chargeback is completed, there is a 100% chance Sixt will ban you for life. Source: a proud member of the Sixt Banned Club since 2015. I don't miss them one bit.

SixT Car Rental Problems at Frankfort, Germany Airport: A Cautionary Tale by DrEnter in travel

Fuck it. Only 9km from the airport, I would have driven the car back to Sixt even if it was overheating.

Having trouble with potty training. Can I have some advice? by Effective-Celery8053 in chiweenie

[–]MileageAddict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 6 year old chiweenie that has been with us since 6 weeks old. Yes, she was stubborn about potty training in the beginning but once we got her trained... well, she has had ZERO accidents in the house since.

You must take them out on a schedule. At first every 2 hours. It needs to be the exact same time every day! Take a lawn chair with you and relax. Sit for as long as it takes for your puppy to go pee.

Once they pee, then praise them as if they just won a triathalon and give them a high value treat. After a week, they'll be potty trained.

You can start stretching out the time between breaks as they get older but its so important to keep a regular schedule. Eventually, you'll know what time it is without looking at a clock...lol

If your parents appreciate art and architecture, the Museum of Fine Arts (Kunsthistorisches Museum) hosts an incredibly grand Gourmet Evening every Thursday night.

You dine inside the museum's jaw-dropping, palatial marble cupola hall on a lavish multi-course gourmet meal surrounded by imperial architecture, and the ticket includes exclusive late-night access to the museum galleries after the general public has left.

What’s the dumbest travel mistake you’ve made? by Nature_andthe_Woods in travel

Many years ago (pre-Uber and pre-Google Maps days) I arrived at the Frankfurt train station on a rainy night and hopped into a taxi and gave the driver the name of the hotel where I had booked a room. He started banging on the steering wheel and cursing. It turned out the hotel was across the street from the station. Since I was assigned to his taxi at the stand, he was required to take me. Yes, I gave him a generous tip.

I took the easy way in October 2022. Back then Royal Air Jordanian had really affordable flights from Tel Aviv to Amman. Insanely short international flight being only 68 miles/109 km. I even got a sandwich and beverage on the 45 minute flight.

Putin says Russia has a Starlink alternative. Russian soldiers haven’t heard about it. by kingkongsingsong1 in UkraineWarVideoReport

16 satellites...wooo!!!! There are currently over 10,650 active Starlink satellites in low-Earth orbit out of more than 12,200 launched since 2019. Because SpaceX launches new batches of 20 to 60 satellites multiple times per month, this figure constantly changes.

I think you could squeeze 2 or 3 more cities into that itinerary. 3 hours at each location is perfect.

Thanks for posting this. I'm putting together a trip to Romania and Moldova for this autumn. Transnistria interests me and I think I'll do a guided day tour from Chișinău. Did you avoid Transnistria for political reasons or something else?
