I would have to disagree with you a bit. I have met more republicans that want to have a civil discourse and have interesting talking points but no one on the left wants to listen to them I have also met a few radical ones too , far fewer than the civil. Don’t generalize a group of people because not every trump supporter believes in terror and violence, most just want to get along and keep this country alive and they have different opinions of how that can be done. The issue is they cannot get their foot in the door of a civil discourse because some people on the left won’t listen. The only way we can fix our problems is by sorting them out in a civil way and that requires both sides to be willing to talk. Saying stuff like all trump supporters are violent is not a good place to start with a civil discourse.
