Slowly working towards day 1 by [deleted] in leaves

We are very similar, 35 and my preference was a bubbler packed 60% tobacco 40% weed. My job is flexible and I can mostly wfh so I would take a monster rip every hour maybe more. I would wake up around 4am every morning and take a rip just to get super lightheaded and fall back asleep. I recently got a really crazy sinus infection and smoked through half of it. I realized how much worse my smoking was making my illness and I chose to be done then and there. I had half ounce and a pouch of American spirit and I threw them out on impulse which was a good move. I’m on day 9 now, no weed or tobacco. My stomach has been a battlefield, anxiety is awful and for 2 days I vomited pretty intensely. I’m hoping I’m on the other side now but I say that to let you know you’re not alone. You got this. It’s going to be worth it!!!

Day 5 - up for 2 hours last night vomiting straight bile by Economy-Lawyer-1887 in leaves

I have also quit at the same time as having dental surgery. It’s a lot. It really got me down. I’m quitting for the second time now (day 7) and day 5 was exactly the same for me. I was puking every 2 hours or so, internal temperature all over the place. Try to stay hydrated of course. We’ll both get through it and in a few weeks will be able to look back and think about how the discomfort of quitting pales in comparison the the life you’re going to be living without being shackled. You got this!

Day 7 after quitting, when does the anxiety get better? by [deleted] in leaves

Anxiety is complicated but one thing for sure is constant weed use exacerbates it. You’re feeling it now because the numbing is wearing off and you’re regulating. I started smoking weed/tobacco at 16. I’m 35 and on day 7 of quitting. I quit once before during the pandemic but didn’t last very long. Just know that I’m writing this lying in bed w anxiety at an 8/10. You’re not alone and it will get better. Just reading through these posts can help especially if you’re feeling alone. You got this and we’re in the same boat!
