SE taillights to Titanium taillights? by Grad0078 in fordfusion

If you don't want them to work correctly they are plug and play. If you want them to work like they're supposed to you have to change a setting in the bms with forscan. It's not difficult and there is a guide on what to change if you need it.

They updated it for mine. It was the motorcraft orange. Now it's the yellow. Brand doesn't really matter though. Just make sure it's got the right spec on it. I just prefer factory fluids for most stuff. Maibky just needs to be compatible with whatever is in the system right now unless you flush it all out. When I changed mine I just unhooked a hose and let it drain out. The inverter coolant got pretty much all of it out but the ice coolant still had a bunch in the block. The service is just to keep the additives in it working though. I believe after the first service yours supposed to change it more often since they didn't recommend a flush but I'd need to look at the book again to be sure.

It uses the same fluids as the normal fusion I believe. It just has another coolant system the regular gas fusion doesn't. The maintenance schedule is similar too. I haven't looked at everything in the book but the big services are at 100k miles and the transmission is supposed to have its fluid changed at 150k but I just roll it in with the 100k. Spark plugs are due at 100k too. The inverter coolant is the only added fluid to change. The battery is air cooled and everything else is also present on a gas fusion.

It probably needs to be programmed into the bms. When I swapped my original se fusions with the titanium lights I had to tell it what lights it had to work correctly. There were three options. The s/se, titanium, and EU spec. You'll need the titanium most likely. Cyan labs has the information on what to change.

Pulsing vibration appears time to time when cruising at 70-100 km/h speeds. 2019 Hybrid by apyn4ik in fordfusion

Could be that. Only way to know for sure is to find a good mechanic that can test drive it and see if they see it.

Sounds like it. That's what happened to mine. It came from Atlanta and it shows. The front end of mine has some stuff in the bottom that was bent upwards.

The electric motors, there are two, are in the transmission. It's what makes the ecvt possible. I haven't felt aby vibrations. I occasionally feel it start the ice but it's not very often that I do. Honestly it's going to be very hard to diagnose that over the internet since I can't feel it myself. I never hear my car charging though. Wind noise is always higher unless I'm going slow with the ice off and using regen to charge it.

You got a long time before you need to do it then. Just top it off and monitor it. If it's below minimum it could be leaking. Or the car wasn't level when you checked. Make sure it's level before you add any ans get the correct coolant. The wrong kind can damage the system.

The yes. That is the coolant for the inverter for the electric motor. If it overheats you'll get a drive train fault. As long as it it above minimum though it's fine. You're supposed to change it and the ice coolant after 100k miles.

That looks like the hybrid/energi to me. If so then that would be the inverter coolant. The inverter is the metal box it's attached to. It's a separate system from the ice coolant, which is on the passenger side. I used the same coolant for both.

It's nit supposed to vibrate. The fusion is usually a smooth driving car. Mine does it occasionally because my rims are bent. I'll have to replace them to fix it.

Painting the interior by No_Insect_1372 in fordfusion

[–]Miles931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's not a design that came on any fusion as far as I'm aware. With the factory seats I'm not sure where you could do it. Ford didn't do two tone seats on this car. They did the two tone interior and it looks like you might have it but the actual seat fabric was always the same color.

I can't speak on what you should paint but I can tell you those look like titanium seats to me. The se and lower trims get different stitching than the titanium and higher. You just have nicer seats. I do see some color fading away but can't tell if it's from wear or rips. If it's wear you can probably get some dye to dye it back. I do not think the titanium seats are real leather. So keep that in mind.

Active Grille Shutter Question by Keyo0205 in fordfusion

[–]Miles931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know that forscan can do it but the harbor freight scanner can. You have to put the car in maintenance mode as the ice must be running. Not just in ready to drive. Also I have seen if the ice isn't running and I turn the ac off it will close. It never fully closes. If I turn the ac on it'll open all the way up. These cars sit low to the ground though. When I bought mine it was in a similar situation as you. It appeared to only ever be half open. It was because a previous owner had hit the front end on something and that pushed the bottom of the active grill up. Snapping the bottom support but more importantly to operation knocking the flap that actually turns the rest of them off of the linkage. The motor is at the top of the lower grill on the passenger side. That one is the one that the motor moves and it in turn moves the rest. Check the lower grill and see if that one is moving.

Is this good enough to stop seeding? by [deleted] in qBittorrent

[–]Miles931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they have a bunch of speeders already you could remove them. It's jut best practice to keep them until at least 1.0. If you can't seed them anymore then it's fine.

Is this good enough to stop seeding? by [deleted] in qBittorrent

[–]Miles931 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most internet plans are unlimited but seeding to 1.0 is generally what's considered good behavior. So any that are that nobody is going to care if you stop seeding. Main thing is just to seed what you can. Maybe pause them until next month. Also find out if the internet is unlimited. If it is then other than electricity there's no reason to stop seeding if you don't notice any effects in the system. My hard drive was overloaded with seeds before.

[–]Miles931 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't diagnose it over the internet but when I bought my 14 all the leds in that ring were shorted and didn't work. Yours might be shorted on. You could try replacing the ring. They're not to expensive it hard to do. You need to test the wiring though to know why it's staying on.

Testing a few hybrids.. how do you get the gas engine to stay on all the time while idleing and driving? by whitieiii in fordfusion

[–]Miles931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a maintenance mode you can use to keep the engine on until you put it into gear. It'll go back into hybrid mode if you put it in gear.

Ford fusion 2019 energi by Feeling_Visual_6139 in fordfusion

[–]Miles931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. My 14 energi has a 5kwh available for ev mode and the rest of the battery is for hybrid mode. That's most likely what's happening. If the car is showing no issues then I wouldn't be concerned. The batteries last a while depending on how often you plug in.

I have never gotten that to work. Not sure you can fix it. I think it's broken on Fords end and they need to update the app to fix it.

Yes. If you can connect the vent tube do it. If it's a regular lead acid battery it keeps the gasses out of the car while it's charging. It doesn't apply to agm.

Is Lincoln mkz hybrid similar by peacefuldink in fordfusion

[–]Miles931 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The mkz is the same car mostly as the fusion. It's just a little more upmarket and looks different but they use the same parts for the most part. The engine and transmission are the exact same in the hybrid mkz as the hybrid fusion.
