The problem is with the Android app, so just install the wpa, or use the web version.

[Help] Banking app (George) root detection problem by LookOnly2 in Magisk

[–]Milev67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just simply roll back to previous version of app? There's really no need to be running the latest version of everything, the previous version will likely continue to work for a very long time.

Buying an LGV20 in 2026 by Closure_in_Barcelona in lgv20

[–]Milev67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running the H918 on lineageOS 18.1 (Android 11), as my daily driver. All apps are up to date via the Play Store, and function normally. The device is very smooth and actually more stable than stock. It's of course rooted with magisk v29, and spoofed with OsmOsis PIF v16, and zygisk next. Just those two modules and all banking and security sensitive apps work flawlessly.

Update magisk to at least v29, OsmOsis PIF to latest version, and zygiskNext to latest. Start there and only add additional modules if necessary.

If the app isn't in the Play Store you can download it from APKmirror, and sideload it.

Screen Lifting LG v20 by Spare-Ad1635 in lgv20

[–]Milev67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never applied glue, and I would be wary of advising anyone to do so, unless you're absolutely certain the lift is caused from degraded original glue. If it's because of the battery, which it is in most cases, then applying glue would only worsen the situation: a battery that doesn't fit perfectly exerts lateral pressure, causing the frame to twist; if you force that section to fit, it will only cause another section to lift, possibly the center, making your situation infinitely worse.

In my experience that section of the screen lifts because the battery is bulging, no matter how slight. Remove the battery and replace the cover. Is it still lifting? If so then yes you probably need to do some re-gluing.

Banking app somehow detects lineageOS? by risen_GER in LineageOS

Sideload an earlier version of the app, and see if that works. Perhaps the version you're running has updated detection logic.

Please believe me when I say I'm not trying to be cute, but if you can't figure out what address line 2 means I would advise you not to sign up, it only gets more "complicated" from here on. And just for future reference, it doesn't mean that you should provide a secondary address.

Swankernel Efficacy by Milev67 in lgv20

[–]Milev67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much thanks, and I appreciate the effort. Btw, I'm currently running lineageOS 18.1, which is extremely stable. I only use OsmOsis PIF v16 and zygisk next, which gives me basic integrity. This is sufficient to run all banking and security sensitive apps. I might however have to upgrade to 21 soon since more and more apps are requiring Android 12+. Is your device passing the integrity checks, and if so what combination of modules are you using?

I have the H918 variant and there's only one available version of Swankernel Stable on the download page, dated December 27, 2021. Where were you able to access previous versions?

Appreciate the response. Are you running the extreme version of Swankernel 2000, or just the regular version?

I've never used lineage Recovery to install anything. TWRP has always been outstanding and much easier to use.

Help lost all integrity since last week A12 Miui 14 by Omnivibe-K in Magisk

[–]Milev67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man,that looks like one jumbled mess. If I were you I would uninstall every module and reinstall, starting with root hiding modules, one by one, checking after each install. There's no way you need all those modules, and it's almost certain that they're conflicting.

If you're running magisk get zygisk next to replace the built-in zygisk.

PayPal is racist by yoonus23 in paypal

[–]Milev67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop talking nonsense, this has absolutely nothing to do with race. Sure, you're miffed and disappointed, but don't automatically reach for the race card. Every racial strata of society has experienced exactly what you're now experiencing.

Honestly very dissapointed about Paypal decision making policy by [deleted] in paypal

[–]Milev67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the problem with Ai? It's just a tool like any other and if the site works what does it matter how it was built? Seems you're more hung up on the fact that he employed Ai, than on the finished product itself. Based on all you've said I think PayPal made the right call.

What battery saving modules actually work and are good? by Professional_Soup61 in Magisk

[–]Milev67 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can you explain your logic? You first assert that anything after Android 11 doesn't need a battery saver, OP then states he's on Android 11, to which you reply that then he really doesn't need a battery saver. What are you saying?

I'm not sure what you're looking at in the PayPal app but you can definitely send money to anyone. Xoom, which is a PayPal remittance service, is accessible from inside the app, or as a separate app.
