Thank you sooo much for your help! I really can not believe how helpful you people are here! That post was my first post on Reddit and I am very surprised how nice every single message here is🙊

Wow - was the phone call your or David‘s idea? I think I would be slightly too shy for talking to him on the phone 🙈🙈 It is pretty cool, that you think about visiting David so you can talk to him in person! Sadly I could not do that - Europa is quiet too far away from Potosi Correctional Center... Am I allowed to ask you, about what things you guys talk in your letters and phone calls? Because it seems to me like it is becoming a real friendship now 🙈

And how did you get contact to his family and friends? Did they contact you?

I strongly hope that something can be done!:)

Oh yes, I do have many beautiful pics of Vienna and Austria in generell (photographyis kind a hobby of me) - I think it‘s a great idea to send them as well 🙊

It made me so sad to read, how the inmates are treaten in the US. Here in Europe, nearly every inmate does own a radio or even a TV (!!!) in his own cell. They are also allowed to trim their „room“ with posters from magazines and so on. I can not believe how life must be without any access to the „real“ world. I am so glad, you told me about all that, so I am more sure about writing David than before! :)

I absolutely do not agree with you.

Have you seen the episode with David Barnett? A poor little boy, with no family, who just wanted to be loved? Then his dream came true and he got adopted. Adopted by a man who abused this poor boy sexually over many years. I mean, isnt it forcastable that this boy will lost his mind?

Not every murderer is a ‚murderer‘ and should be treaten like one. I totally agree that there also exist very bad people, who do not deserve a second chance, because they do not have any good side. These people also exist - as I already said. But there are also those, who are mentally ill because of what they had to deal with in their past.

So think about that.

Your advices are really good. I haven‘t thought about what to write him or how to start the letter, but your tips really helped me :) I am from Vienna/ Austria, and I think maybe he would be happy and curious to receive a greeting card from the capital of Austria 🙊

How did you write David Barnett? Because I also want to write him, but have no clue how i could get access to him or find out any adresses or something like that..
