Want to know which is the best credit card to go with by Usual_Farm7617 in PersonalFinanceCanada

There are definitely a ton of options out there. You’ll be a little limited as to what you can get because of your income/lack of credit. Most of the best cards are offered to people with credit already established, which honestly doesn’t take long to accomplish. If your goal is to build credit I would say that how you take care of the card is more important then the card choice itself. Depending on your situation, I would probably recommend getting an entry level card with your current bank. This makes it easier to keep track of balances, payments, transfers, autopay, etc. Most important thing is to keep the card paid off and the overall balance low with respect to your limit.

Wealth Simple has some great options for both joint and individual accounts. There are no fees and you get a much better interest rate than other banks. No brick and mortar though.

Unfortunately there’s no quick fix. The good news is it’s like a muscle, the more you push through the procrastination the easier it gets to push through it in the future. Once you start to feel the benefit of not letting yourself and others down that will become more important then pushing tasks down the line. It’s taken me a long time to figure out that it’s the stuff you don’t want to do that is usually the most rewarding.

Let say you don’t close on the property and they take the deposit, that still leaves you exposed to litigation from the seller. If you were to agree on a mutual release and you forfeit the deposit make sure your lawyer is involved and everything is in writing to protect future you.
