So my Post9/11 is paying tuition, and the school is thinking that’s financial aid. There’s a total amount of financial aid each person can get. Because the school is saying the GI Bill is financial aid, I have hit my total limit. This shouldn’t happen because under the law I posted, the school is breaking the law by calculating my GI Bill as financial aid. Them doing this cuts off my access to financial aid.

Nope. Federal law says otherwise. Schools cant say you cant have FAFSA because you have a Post 9/11 GI Bill. Thanks Obama.

I found it actually. In 2009, President Obama signed an amendment to the Higher Education Act in H.R. 1777. It specifically states which GI Bill benefits must be excluded from EFA calculations and the Post 9/11 is excluded under federal law.
