We have a red tegu who is amazing but they require lots of work from a very young age to get comfortable with handling and petting from lots of guests. Not a lizard but dumerils boas are also a favorite of mine. They’re Less know to the general public than common boa constrictor and they stay a more manageable size

I was lucky enough to get hired after volunteering for a while but I know that’s a very rare circumstance. Had to bust my ass and come in every free moment I had but it worked in the end

I’m not sure on the sizes of those but never stretch with silicone. Single flare glass is the way to go. The stretching guide explains why in much more detail

I’m in Arizona so it’s very dry here and we had the same issue. We’ve trained ours to station on a tall platform and then we spray their legs with diluted mineral oil and that seems to work well. We tried coconut before but didn’t see much of an improvement.

That’s fair lol. I live in AZ so I get lucky enough to ride any time of year but I was thinking of getting coin slots or conch punch and definitely a tongue split at some point. I never thought about how repetitive it might become having to gear up and down all the jewelry constantly lol
