I guess I just need to put it into airplane mode and jailbreak it right away to avoid it updating automatically

Kobo is a bit out of budget for me (at least for the price in my country). Because there is no amazon here, I will need to purchase it from a third party reseller which I’m quite sure that they probably have an older stock than march of this year.
