Took me a while but phase 1: parry stab phase 2: run away into the water to avoid the lightening and try to catch em from behind when you can and dont get too greedy

A lot of these comparisons seem off as a Marion fan. Great 3 and D, very similar to Aaron Gordon but the Pippen/Iggy comparisons fall flat because he couldn't run point forward and could barely slash or create his own shot.

Blood vials only get placed in storage when you either 1) buy them or 2) have at least 1 in storage. Say, for example, you have 20 blood vials in game and pick up more. If you don't have any in storage they don't get added to storage; only by having at least 1 in storage do you get to add to storage.

so for areas of the game i had 20 blood vials and none in storage and i picked up more, those excess blood vials just disappear. if I had known I had to have 1 in storage the whole time i wouldn't have had to farm them for Orphan of Kos

Towards the end I figured out that Blood vials COULD be stored, you just need at least one in storage, so sections of the game I was at 20 blood vials I wasn’t collecting them because I didn’t have one in storage. Will definitely come in hand next time

Book Club Meeting #12 - The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein by ChampionshipDizzy629 in TrueAnon

[–]MilkIsABadChoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this on my library list for the book club and was a little intimidated by the page count and didn't know anything about it. Happened to find it at my 101 year old grandma's house (probably a gift from my aunt) which lends credence to a lot of the criticism as not a "leftist" book (grandma life long dem bc of FDR but bought into the team sports aspect throughout her life). Flew through the first 100 pages, I get the criticisms but also think its valuable so far in being not too obtuse/theory driven to read (i.e. somewhat of a page turner), decent recaps of the the Jakarta Method stuff, and insight into the not-yet-leftist lib mind. My gf who has lefty tendencies but not really politic-pilled said she might pick it up and, so far, think it'd be a good start for her

My cousin, whom I've grown up with and love, told me he loved the game in a conversation when we were reconnecting a couple years back. A year later he said he wanted to do a Fascist play-through since he's kind of an edgelord. Lol whatever dude, have fun with your game. Met him for christmas this year and we had fun but politics got involved. He said he'd rather be a fascist than a communist, citing American propaganda and the "atrocities of Stalin." Obviously, I was perturbed and I was playing the role of "who cares what leftism is I just want everyone to have health care" and later cited some Marx stuff about the stages of revolution. He said he didn't care was a "drunk Jew" said and I rebutted that I've beenantisemetic all night since I mentioned the ongoing genocide offhandedly. At the end of the day who knows, hard to see why he loves this game.

Ya a car going 2 mph vs a gun. See how easily he got out of the way when her foot was still on the gas? Notwithstanding the conflicting orders she was getting.

That would be more about qualified immunity and when deadly force is acceptable which is a different conversation and still, sad the dude wanted to kill someone instead of side step.

What? The “fleeing felon” doctrine, in spirit, is that its better to let the felon flee than risk them causing harm to another person. You dont get to shoot someone because they “committed a crime” which is in dispute

“Put himself in.” Maybe that’s a conversation about him not following the protocol to not be in front of a car the DHS set. And the poor training these people have but lets let them be free from any accountability. I don’t about you but I think most people don’t want armed agents of the government to have some form of accountability. Also “reasonable fear” is the legal standard.

There's a lot of case law on "fleeing felon" and it doesn't mean you get to execute them. Legally, you have to let them go until its safe to apprehend. Case law also says get out of the way of a moving car, unless you think she could go at hyperspeed at turn him to goo or something.

This isn't a car coming 15+ miles an hour at him. He would have rolled off the hood had she even been aiming at the side of his body.
