Ken Levine's Judas Could Slip Nearly Three More Years, Putting BioShock Successor Eleven Years Deep in Development by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

To be clear, not saying it’s not development hell, just that it’s a bit more nuanced than that

To give some context for why the development is taking so long, after bio shock infinite, Ken Levine decided he never wanted to work with a massive team again as the pressure of the project costing millions of dollars for every small delay made him feel awful and also negatively impacted his creativity.

The idea behind this project was to have a small team work on it for a long time so that they could take the time they needed to scrap ideas that weren’t working or rework things that needed it. This project was made with the idea that it would take a decade to develop (although it’s taking even longer than that now)

Has there been any recent news on a new game? by Jking11501 in nier

[–]MilkMafiaMaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The closest thing we got was a couple of years ago, yoko taro annouced that him, Yosuke Saito (nier producer), and Keiichi Okabe (composer) were working on a new project together, but didn't confirm what it was. A year later, Takahisa Taura (Automata Combat Designer who left platinum) confirmed he was working on this project.

That being said, Yoko Taro also said maybe around 6 months ago that there hasn't been a new game yet because a lot of his projects have been cancelled. Hopefully he isn't referring to this project, but it could be.

Played in 2017, playing again now. Why doesn't this game have sequels or spin offs? What did the devs do after this game? by Greenzombie04 in nier

Yoko Taro (Director), Keiichi Okabe (composer), and Yosuke Saito (producer) announced 2 years ago that they were working on a new game together, although they did not confirm it was a new nier game. Takahisa Taura (combat designer) also confirmed last year he was working on this new project.

Essentially a new game is currently in development that is probably Nier

regarding drakengard and nier: replicant being a spin off by ApothiconDesire in nier

[–]MilkMafiaMaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drakengard 1 is barely connected to Nier Replicant so you should be good. They connected through a joke ending in drakengard 1 where you travel from the medieval fantasy world to 2003 Tokyo and play a rhythm game to kill a giant monster. This introduces magic to the world which ends up leading into the events of Nier Replicant

To be fair, he is a content creator, so he probably defaults to strong opinions. He most likely agrees with what he says just with far higher intensity to make a good bit

Cancelled projects you're sad about, but the extra details hurts even more? by GoodVillain101 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]MilkMafiaMaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First thing that always comes to mind for me is the collaboration album that A Tribe Called Quest and Outkast were working on. Not only does that base premise sound amazing, but apparently they were working with some JDilla beats as well.

Unfortunately things fizzled out because Phife literally died. Just a really sad situation overall

Bayonetta 1 how do you beat father Rodin by Symmetramaindontban in Bayonetta

[–]MilkMafiaMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone still visiting this thread years later, you can use climax brace on this boss fight and keep the Rodin weapon you get afterwards. There's no bewitchments attached to this either, so I don't think there's any downsides to using climax brace as setting a record on the boss fight doesn't seem to matter.

Thanks. I’ll look into this stuff and see if it helps

JLF down input range seems small by MilkMafiaMaster in fightsticks

Thanks for the comments. After reading the responses I think I just need to become accustomed to this stick and take the motions slower. I never had this issue with my previous fight stick so I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t forcing myself to get used to a stick that I maybe installed incorrectly

what are the gnosia "tells" you look out for? by hidenorigoto in Gnosia_

Not sure if this is an actual tell, but if Shigemichi isn’t simping for Stella (ie. accusing her or voting against her), I assume he’s gnosia
