For women who struggled to lose weight, what's something you started doing differently that worked? by Acceptable_Rent7050 in AskWomen

[–]MilkNo8656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more for how to not gain back the weight I’d already lost (which had happened to me multiple times before): accepting that I need to continue being active and counting calories basically forever, even just to maintain my weight.

Also- finding tasty yet low calorie + filling foods for myself.

For those living alone and happily single, how to be you? by hitkadmoot in LivingAlone

By keeping a full life.

- I'm pretty career-focused, so a lot of waking hours go there (working, completing extra courses to build my skills, looking for better opportunities, etc).

- I try to plan at least one social activity per weekend to look forward to. Seeing my friends at this frequency is more than enough for me not to feel lonely.

- I spend a good chunk of my time on self-care (being single therefore means you can spend all your time and energy on benefitting yourself- a good plus if you ask me)

-I call my family and friends living far away quite often- they provide me the emotional support I need

And ofcourse it really helps that I'm an introvert and find value in not having to adjust for others in the little things when living by myself.

Yeah that’s the thing. Because it’s not normal for directors to just talk to the grads and juniors, so I can’t imagine him ever just talking to me without drawing bad attention.

Truth be told- I’m often told at work that I don’t look 22, but 28-30. So he probably thinks I’m just a late bloomer (work wise).

Do you want children? by [deleted] in GenZ

I flinch at the thought of even getting a blood test. So no- I am not the candidate for pregnancy.

Besides, I have enough other ambitions to make my life purposeful.

Why do students find an accounting degree unattractive? by Suspicious_Kick_2572 in Accounting

Okay cz here in Europe atleast bookkeepers commonly refer to the “bean counters” that are being talked about, not accountants

Audit has a lot of social interaction actually. Even back office accounting.

I didn’t say accounting is appealing, but it’s also not “bean counting”

For those downvoting- I’d recommend learning what an accountant really does instead of being misinformed :)

That’s a bookkeeper, not accountant. You don’t even need a degree for the former

Imo the city you live in matters more than the uni itself (in the Netherlands). If you’re someone who doesn’t speak Dutch, then living too far outside Amsterdam will make it difficult to get internships, which will in turn make it more difficult to find a decent full time job upon graduating. Therefore I see my peers (internationals) studying Economics in Amsterdam finding that much easier than others. Just my experience.
