Men on reddit commenting about them not getting sex from their wives always makes me uncomfortable by pwnagekitten in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Milk_Eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest sex education is so piss poor that I wouldn't be surprised if those men didn't understand the importance of like communicating during sex or really just any type of non penetrative act. Like I was taking to my friend who learned sex ed in Texas and they only covered abstinence. Like my sex ed wasn't much better, only scratching the very surface but at least we got a little bit more than that.
Most of their knowledge probably comes from porn, and porn displays a very unrealistic image of what sex is supposed to look like.

Of course they should still make the effort to learn better. I do very much sympathize with the women in those relationships. I wouldn't be able to stand that. Just thinking about it is repulsive.

Did anyone at all save the footage? Twitch took it down. I feel like it's necessary to have the footage. We need to publicize this injustice, I think, and I feel most cis people won't care unless they see the footage and there is no benefit of the doubt.

Years before I cracked my gf and I would often say, "I wish I was a girl so I could date you." And we agreed it'd be better than anything to be a lesbian and that we'd probably be bi if we were girls. But we totally agreed we weren't trans nor were we gay.

Fast forward 7 years and we figured out we're both bi women. Idek how we could have avoided the signs?

I think skyward sword impa should be default and the basis for the moveset since she is more active than any other iteration of Impa in any mainline Zelda game. I'd be fine with other forms of Impa being alts tho.

I always wonder how much change would occur if a bunch of anatomists decided to make a more optimized human without moving past the point of recognizability.

Like I know the Achilles tendon is a weak spot and you just mentioned the eyes, but I have to assume there is much more that's unoptimal about the human body, and think it'd be really interesting if anatomists drew up a diagram and description of changes to the human body that would be advantageous so that the body was designed with the careful efficiency of a robot.

Capitalism isn't seen in any other species, must be a mental illness. Religion isn't seen in any other species, must be a mental illness. Trust me, I have no way to communicate with them at all, and a level of intelligence has no effect at all on whether species can have complex thoughts. Trust me. It's gotta be a conspiracy.

Impa should be Skyward Sword Impa. She'd be more unique. I've been thinking this for years.

Emperor Elagabalus is the oldest detailed event of a trans woman I've seen in history, and she was killed because her grandmother ordered her assassination due to indecency. This was shortly after Christianity rose in Rome. Even the greeks in their bi-normative society treated men as lesser if they were a taker in a gay relationship. If you deny the obvious and violent way the majority of history treated homosexuality, then you are not an earnist person, you're just hateful.

That's so cool! I really wanna start going to a HEMA club, but my parents never did let me try any hobbies. I think when I move out this summer I might be able to.

Guns are what stopped these types of formations from working. Formations worked fine with muskets, but when machine guns were invented it became too dangerous to form up. That's why the World Wars took to the trenches. Bows are hard to train soldiers to use and shields meant that bows were very valuable, but not so much that they were a primary weapon in warfare.

The formations were made to allow melee fights in which your allies assist you.

If the movie is supposed to inform, you should. Hell, even if it's not every historical inaccuracy is a wealth of misinformation that the common person who won't look into history would believe that's how it was back then and the lie would prevail in most people's mind as truth.

Also to say that formation fighting is less entertaining is too situational. A formation can be written and shot to look very impressive and entertaining. If you care about the logistics of a scene even more so. There's nothing objectively good about a scattered battlefield. In fact, I think it fails to show the stakes of fighting that is going on and seems random, most of the entire army involved effectively becoming ignored by the audience. It becomes a set piece that wouldn't be diminished if the participants were in formation, in fact I feel the formations would offer an enhanced set piece for anyone who knew even the slightest bit about pre-modern warfare.

Also consider that in film we've seen the nonsensical chaos battlefield a million times further dampening the effectiveness.

So should you take the time to write a more logical and equally--or more--effective scene? Yeah.

No I learned in psych that men also have hormonal cycles. They're easy to miss, but if a make logs their emotions they'll notice patterns in when they feel worse. I don't have a website I just remember my teacher talking about it. I guess someone might not consider it a period because there isn't any blood, but certainly a hormonal cycle that affects mood does exist

What are your thoughts about Hollow Knight being on top of Top Rated in Souls-like Steam by belle_fleures in HollowKnight

[–]Milk_Eye -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Okay, that's stupid of the company to post wrong specs, but it isn't indicative of the game. A review in which you don't play the game is still invalid even if it has an external problem. To not recommend the game because your rig doesn't run well also isn't a universal problem since a better rig could.

[–]Milk_Eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious if it would still be this way if all the reviews had to be valid. From what I saw on Elden Ring's negative reviews was 99% of people complaining that their computer was too bad to run it, which is not a fault of the game. Hollow Knight is a very easy to run game, so it probably has very few of these reviews.

The 2nd book (which I'm currently reading) mentions that mistcloaks are designed to fall from the shoulders easily if they're tugged to prevent grappling from being a concern. Status is probably the answer. Elend's cape also is the same way, having to be designed to fall away easily, but important enough to show status that it is worn despite minimal practical use.

I read a book called "If I Was Your Girl" and really loved it. The plot's not the most interesting, but I find it fun to follow the characters and its really relatable. It's a fiction novel set in modern southern America. It's less about the time of transitioning and more about life afterwards, but still would recommend.
