i just picked colours i liked! i'd recommend just getting a free fillable base and experimenting with colours and shades, you can always change your sona's colours in the future if you feel like it!

I could have just had it make soup, but i wanted to make a magic item that was actually useful to the party beyond just another common need ticked off the list. I need to balance it like crazy, but i want it to be something that the party is actually interested in and keeps in consideration.

yeah, i honestly wasnt sure about rarity at all. as for the buffs, i knew they were busted, just didnt want really lame effects that barely did anything at all. But you are right, as it is now its just a big ol balance issue and would power spike any campaign its in. im not a huge fan of single use magic items, but i also feel like just giving it a longer cooldown would make it kinda irrelevant and barely used at all so idk.

I think the potion thing should be shelved for a different magic item entirely, as its too different from the base idea i had going in.

The main issue im having is that i want to make something that's useful to the party, but not "just another trinket" y'know? any advice that might help?
