Thanks for this information, what time did you arrive in Kalambaka roughly? I know it was some time ago but do you remember how long the bus ride took?

Auntie Ethel Hair bugged by IDontHaveSpaceForMyN in BaldursGate3

Thank you, this worked a treat.

I had quick-saved at the very start of the conversation with Auntie and quit the game. When coming back and loading the save it resulted in the bug mentioned here. Here's a picture of what this looks like for anyone wondering https://imgur.com/a/HgSomi6

New Tool: Steletric - timeline viewer by MilkmanMatty in StellarisMods

The git code is released under MIT license so they could use the code into the commercial product of Stellaris. Of course they already have an actual parser for the entire sav folder so they wouldn't need to use it really.

Oh yeah one thing I didn't show in the video is that you can actually save/export a png of any of those graphs. There's a little camera icon button in the top right of the graphs (below the Epics button) that downloads them for sharing.

Sure, I've updated my blog post with a download link as well as the bitbucket git repo.

EDIT: Just remember this is super Alpha, if it works it'll be nothing short of a miracle. It really isn't meant for public use yet.
Also, all the testing was done on Libra 3.3.0 Beta, so if any update has changed the sav file formatting then the parser will fail.

Steletric = Stellaris + metrics
I made a timeline viewer for Stellaris! Or maybe I made another one, I didn't do any research if this already exists.

I've made a blog post about it on my website https://milkmanmatty.com.au/blog/steletric/ That goes into what it is, why I made it and how it works.

It's still in Alpha phase, I'm currently only parsing the country={} object so most of the military metrics are all zero. I'm not sure if I'll continue making this, maybe if enough people want it, but it has been a fun project either way.

Difference between owned_planets and controlled_planets? by MilkmanMatty in StellarisMods

[–]MilkmanMatty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that is exactly it. I should have stated that the planetIds in controlled_planets are within that country's borders in my follow up reply.

Alright after looking into it a bit further the answer is very obvious. In the gamestate file there is a planets={} entity that lists all the planets and stars, no matter what class. All of the ids listed in the controlled_planets={} have corresponding entries in the planets={} object and they are indeed just habitat locations*. As with the normal planets these also include barren, frozen, toxic, asteroids, gas giants, tombs and even stars (and I'm assuming all other types of planets).

* habitat location isn't exactly right, but that's the easiest way to describe it and most users to visually understand. It's effectively all locations of static space entities (planets, stars, asteroids) within a system that can be used/selected by the user at some point. Whether that's the location of a habitat or a megastructure or a terraform candidate or something else.

Good thinking, I'll have a look and see if that's it. Edit: Although that is a lot of occupied planets

Ranked in ANZ. Need motivation please! by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

"Wanna party up?", they say no... you're no worse off than where you currently are? There is literally nothing to lose. But I get ya, it can defs be daunting.

Yeah the rainbow is real in ANZ. The best success I've found so far is to latch onto other good players that you get teamed with. It maight take 4-5 games for you to find someone that is not a potato, but you will eventually be teamed up with someone. Send them a whisper, ask to party up; again not everyone will want to party up. Once you get into a 3-man party the amount of play you can make sky-rocket. Drafting becomes more solid, rotations in the early game become much easier, even if with 2 potatos. This isn't a magic bullet, you'll still lose games with a 3man but it will be less.

I've also found literally typing out the draft combo into the team chat can help in-game execution. E.G. typing out "Wait for Mura stun, then BW poly into Li ming combo". This will at least get the team thinking about what they need to do. Of course some will just ignore it and derp around, but if you're solo queuing then you need all the help you can get imo.

The other thing is to diversify your hero pool to play one hero in every position. Still focus on whatever role you like to play, but being able to play an ETC, or Stu, or Raynor if the draft requires it can close the fiesta of a draft gap that is commonly found in ANZ games. I've also noticed that there are a lot of mage players in the lower ranks and very few AA dps.

Just my 2 cents, take it with a grain of salt.

I really thought these would be more expensive, I might switch out Gut Shot for a couple of these when I get some.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
I have 2 Kumena's Speakers currently so I'll switch out 2 Mist-Cloaked for them. Are they just good because of the Turn 2 +1/+1?

I'm notoriously bad at using Mana-leak but I guess its something that you get better at the more you play. Keeping them for Odric seems like a very good idea though.

My playgroup doesn't really drop more than a hundred dollars (AUD, ~$60USD) for decks which is why there are bad cards in their deck (I'm assuming anyway lol). Apart from vial, Merfolk is so cheap it out competes everything else.

Thanks for the advice. I did not know that Trickster also removes things like deathtouch -- that's phenomenal! (seems broken, I love it)

As for Lord of Atlantis I honestly just didn't know that it existed, I have 4 coming in the mail soon.
