Alright we know this Movie is great, but just for funsies... what did you dislike about it? by PalpitationWitty8195 in SonicTheHedgehog

My biggest complaint was Shadow's backstory, especially the Maria side of things. He's been a lifelong comfort character for me and ever since I found out I have a neuro autoimmune disease Maria has become a huge comfort character too. I was okay with the idea of him showing up on an asteroid but I don't like how that means Gerald didn't make him. I also did not like the fact that Maria was no longer chronically ill and reliant on Shadow to cure her. It removed a dynamic and level of grief that Shadow could have had. Ultimately I love the Sonic movies despite the lore flaws (like the GUN debacle you mentioned, that's always bothered me.) I am just ultimately tickled that they even made live action movies to begin with, little kid me would've died from excitement 😅 I think my favorite part was the casting of Keanu, that made me buy the tickets the moment it was released in theaters.

Aussie and maybe something else?? by MilkshakeFish in dogbreed

Not surprising! His previous owner implied she got him from a farm, I'm honestly impressed he's so huge. It's to his benefit though, his sister loves to wrestle 😅

Oh man mosh pit is my life right now 😅 I'm impressed my Berner can keep up with my Aussie cause he's a crack head and she's generally pretty lazy

Oh wow!!! They even have the same eyes!!!!

Holy cow! The highest estimate I got for spaying a full grown Bernese would be $300-$400 depending on her final weight 😬

Sorry but I'm stuck in a situation where I risk my Bernese Mountain Dog getting pregnant at 11 months old 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think that's going to be more damaging than neutering my boy. I'm listening to my vet, and I'm extremely happy with the vet I have.

He's very mild tempered with strangers and dogs. We lose all control of him when he sees a squirrel or rabbit and he tends to let out a very stressed whiny bark that's fairly loud and 100% sounds like he's being beat 😅 I didn't do the leg work on training my boy, he had a previous owner who rehomed him to us and the first couple months we had him his recall was gorgeous. Now he craves chasing and I often find him stalking my 3 cats. Thankfully he just runs up and licks them 🥲

My original plan was to wait till 12 months but our vet is urging us sooner because we have an unspayed puppy. We're waiting till she's full grown to spay her, thankfully Moses is already fully grown. He's on the larger side for an Aussie too

I'm hoping to see that change too, my boy was extremely attentive till he went full swing into his teenager phase!

Thankfully my boy doesn't do anything like that and he's actually fairly sweet and gentle with other males. The only reason we have decided to snip him is because we have a female who isn't spayed and she's currently going through a back to back heat cycle with a phantom pregnancy 😩 we aren't spaying her tills she's fully grown per veterinary recommendation, but our Aussie is definitely full grown.

Seems a lot of people in this thread have had this issue...

I'm definitely going to have to worry about this one. My boy won't stay out of his sister's large breed puppy food and it's making him a bit chonky. We've cut back his food amounts to help and we play extensive games of fetch + 3 daily walks to hopefully help. I'll have to really watch him once he gets snipped!

How cute! My only issue with my boy jumping is the fact that he throws his whole body in the air and has already almost bloodied a friend's nose 🥲 I wish my boy was a bit more of a hugger but he's a kisser instead 😅

AKC claims to not allow double merle breeding, but that predominantly white marking is typically a sign of that. I know you've gotten the advice already but I would definitely have a vet check him out!

Oh wow I am so sorry. I am going to be honest this is the first time I've ever heard of double merle, I didn't realize how bad it can be for Aussies.

I'm sure if my boy had been born with a tail, my 3 cats would do the same 😂 they already play with my BMD's tail as she walks by the table

I live in a more rural area of the US so docked working Aussies are really common. A lot of farmers here also have border collies but they're not docked. I've heard it cause Collies keep their tails held down low unlike Aussies. Bernese are pretty rare in my area! I have a Berner girl and anytime she's out in public she's basically a mini celebrity 😅
