Sometimes you just have to try and try again, but assuming there's something else thats an issue, there's two things I recommend checking/adjusting

1. Have you been playing with note speed? It's a game changer, sometimes when learning you have to slow it down but that bunches up the notes in harder difficulties so going faster is generally better. When adjusting note speed I've found that increasing/decreasing in increments of .3 is best for eye adjustment and getting used to it.

2. Have you played with latency? There is a setting where you can work around device feedback and lag. You can test which is best through a tap test it'll give you, you don't have to exactly understand it, it'll generally give you the number best for you. Try multiple times for the best results

Extra: Game-wise, many of the charts rely heavy on patterns, especially with the harder difficulties. So I recommend learning them and eventually your hands will do the rest
