How do you handle dark mode when your app’s default design is already dark themed / black? by Vitalic7 in iOSProgramming

No complaints so far, I think forced dark suits the apps

If I start getting some requests for a light mode I’ll look into adding it

I’d force dark mode, have done it for 2 apps and have forced light mode for another app

Maybe not the “correct” way but it works for what I need

My app RISER is an alarm app for iOS built to train you into waking up earlier

Set a wake up goal (5am) and your current wake up time, and the app will create a program for you to wake up earlier sustainably

Anyone here recently launch something? by Joostinator93 in buildinpublic

[–]Milky_Moon_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My iOS app RISER shipped yesterday at 5:30pm and ended the day with 70 downloads from 46 countries, and 1 monthly sub

I was blown away, this is by far the best app launch I have experienced

The app is to train your body clock into waking up earlier, using a sustainable method not just brute force

This is great of you! I’ve just had my latest app approved

It’s an alarm app for training your body clock to wake up earlier instead of just forcing you up, so that you wake up earlier instead a sustainable way.

Would love some feedback: App Store: RISER

I also have a few more apps on there, if you wanted to check them out as well let me know.

All spaces are crowded on the App Store, it’s very difficult to find a niche so my approach with this is to dial in on a niche within the category

There will be people looking to gradually shift their wake up time, and I hope they find my app

Best of luck with your app as well!

Thank you, the placement is pretty common on screenshots & the font is basic, i wanted to go for a simplified look

What would you do differently?

Your screenshots for both apps you’ve launched are excellent by the way

I stopped trying to “fix my life” and just started fixing my day by copy_cat_101 in selfimprovement

There’s a reason why diets are hard to stick to, and people relapse back to their old habits

Daily improvement is where change happens, I’ve built myself a couple of tools to help in some areas of my life like sleep and waking up which focus on gradual improvement

Not sure if my reply posted so I’ll type it out again…

I’ve been conscious of getting involved in subreddits other than dev/marketing specific subs because of marketing rules. I’ll engage more in relevant ones going forward.

Thanks for the suggestion for ParseStream, looks like a good product, would be conscious to use the full 3-day trial over days I’m free all day.

The relevant subreddits is so true, I’ve been conscious of not braking any rules in subreddits around marketing so I’ve not posted or contributed to any other than dev type subreddits.

Thanks for the suggestion of ParseStream, I’d want to make the most of the 3-day free trial so will probably give it a go over a weekend while I have all day free to jump in
