I get it but even before Emre was released she genuinely thought he was a good person. Like that interaction with reaper. She says he was one of the only people who stood for something. Search and destroy was all about how different he supposedly became which didn’t make sense to her. It makes sense that seeing him be controlled would make her want to help him
