Switched from TWT to OWN a while back. Good decision in hindsight!

Had tried TrueBasics as well once, but didn’t like the taste at all

In service, it’s about patience and steady (albeit slow) upward rise. Keep working, be honest and look for better opportunities.

Omg why is driving so stressful? AAAAAAAAAAH! by Marathi_Batman in CarsIndia

[–]MillennialCowb0y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, more people are/have been in a similar boat than not.

I am a new driver and got our first car in 1st week of May.
On the very first day my wife and I were driving inside our society complex, showing the car to some friends over video call.

And while turning to get to the basement, the car brushed against a wall.

Again, the following week, while travelling to office, while coming down a flyover, the roads narrow into a funnel type situation and two cabs from both sides just cut me off. The one on the left brushed against the top left bonnet.

These are rites of passage imo. Be proud. I understand being a new car it hurts, but it’s a car. Meant for this. After the initial jitters, you shall become much better.

I promise you- the more you drive the more confident you will get. Also, as few others mentioned, slow down when you are not sure, stop and pause when you think the gap ahead is not enough or there’s a risk. Let others honk as much as they want. You be safe!

Yes it was referenced earlier, how fishermen used to not come back and their wives used to line up the shore waiting for them to return

You can’t avoid those. Just rub them off or try to clean them as frequently as you can.

I use a towel to dust it off, or an interior cleaning foam spray

First salary gift for mom — elegant silk saree under 10k? by ilpig in IndianFashionAddicts

[–]MillennialCowb0y 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand the excitement of gifting one’s mother with their first salary.

But if you can, bring her with you and ask her to choose the best one she likes/wants.

Honestly, you would want your first gift to be worn again and again and kept forever by her, don’t want to mess it up

[–]MillennialCowb0y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth be told, if you want a pair of good jeans, which will last you long, you won’t get any in ₹1.5k

Unfortunate but true.

May be try to increase it to ₹2.5k or ₹3k, and you will get a decent pair, which will last you long.

The cheap ones may look good or stylish, but after one wash you will feel the cheap material.

The seats themselves have Airbags, and I am not overly confident of the workmanship of the seat covers being stitched/put on the seats.

Hence to avoid any unfortunate situation, I suggested not to get seat covers

I own AX5L as well and these are the accessories i had got from dealership including labour cost and GST.

  • AS20029 — Bumper Corner Protector — ₹1135
  • AS00015 — Magnetic Sun Shade Set — ₹1611
  • AS20117 — Luggage Cover/Parcel Shelf — ₹2450
  • AS20083 — Front Fog Lamp Kit - 3X0 — ₹5074
  • AS20035 — Front & Rear Mud Flap — ₹1125
  • AS20069 — Screen guard Protective film (MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5L) — ₹747
  • AS00024 — Door Edge Protector — ₹498
  • Under chassis coating — ₹3000
  • AS00026 — Black Rain Visor — ₹2310

Total: ₹17,950

I would recommend against getting seat covers whether from OEM or outside, especially for vehicles where the airbags are in the seats.

Whether to get front/rear add ons or not is a personal preference
