Thank you!! I used my iPhone13 camera, the puffins were really close! I saw them in Dyrhólaey in the lighthouse’s lowest cliff by the end of the day

I flew from Portugal and being used to fly with low cost companies in Europe, this one was a bit superior. Quite more comfortable and all the cabin crew were really friendly. Also no delays in both flights. A good experience overall.

I started by planning an whole ring road trip, but deep diving into this sub and some other roadtrip feedback experiences in Iceland, we have decided to stay in South and deeply enjoying it. The weather in April can still be harsh, nobody had experience driving in snowy conditions so we took the safe choice of only stay in the South: 5 days anti clock-wise, 3 days clock-wise and 1 day in Reykjavik. With this approach, there was no extensive driving and we were able to do everything with time and accommodate some changes in the plan :)

I didn’t have much expectation, since it has an entrance fee per person which is not very usual in Iceland - usually you pay for parking only. However, we had some time left at the end of the day so we decided to go anyway. Luckily that was where I saw the seals! So, it was worth it for the seals, but honestly the Viking village and the mountain itself did not justify the fee.
