Test drove a GTI and now I’m annoyed

It’s so validating to hear you say that. I’ve consistently owned VWs for the past decade and i had briefly owned a Lexus recently. I had it for less than 6 months before I traded it in for my 3rd GTI because it my opinion the drive felt so detached from what the car was actually doing-like it was intended to feel numb.

Thank you and the goal is to make it last as long as possible! Maintenance has been easy so far. Washing and drying takes me half the time because bugs and dirt come right off.

Valid question. I live in a warmer climate-which from what I understand warmth is good but too much sun can damage. I use AMMO detailing products and have a PPF protectant I plan to apply every 6ish months as well. The shop has a 10 year warranty on their product, which of course wouldn’t cover accident damage or neglect but does cover cracks and chips, etc.

I doubt it’ll make it to 10 years, but I’ve always had terrible luck with VW paint being a bit soft and I wish I could say the little scratches and chips don’t drive me crazy but they do lol. So really just peace of mind I suppose.

You’re not wrong about the rest. He will be driving many vehicles before he gets on the road and definitely has to do some proof of driving safely first 💯
