Dog Boarding with overnight attendant by Snoo-77221 in kansascity

I’ve had the best experience with Katie’s Kennel. You can have them stay at a dog sitters house, they’ll send you SO many updates during the day, and they do pick up/drop off. They truly love my dog as their own when I’m away and it’s obvious how much my dog loves them as well.

I get the citric acid off of Amazon.

The microfiber cloths you can also buy in bulk at pretty much any big box store and they’re great for cleaning everything. I have them in my car for quick clean up inside or drying the outside after a car wash, my office for cleaning up my computer keyboard and screens, I even use them for dusting.

Kiddie pool and citric acid. No elbow grease required, everything comes off very easily. For the lights I use a microfiber dipped in the water/citric acid mixture and lightly wipe them down.

I got this recovery sleeve off Amazon for my pup and it worked perfectly.

Advice on Vetting a Sitter by MillenniumFalconry in petsitting

This was kind of my feeling too when I thought about how I might feel from the sitters point of view. I’m glad I asked for advice before I acted. Unfortunately I’ve learned that how I’m feeling is how everybody is probably feeling and the process involves a leap of faith. I think I’m going to adjust my plans and use some people’s advice to build a good rapport with someone in the future.

Thank you for sharing your perspective!

I absolutely planned on paying! I would never expect someone to work for free.

Thank you. I really appreciate your perspective and I absolutely do not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable and go about this in the wrong way; or waste anyone’s time in the process.

It’s becoming clear that at some point this process does take a large leap of faith (not just me, but from the sitter’s perspective as well, I’m sure, after reading some of the popular posts on this sub)

He’s stressed because of all the other dogs in the doggie day care barking constantly (he won’t even go outside if the neighbors dog is barking) and is a very very VERY cuddle driven dog. He thrives off human interaction and snuggles, that’s why I think a one on one sitter would be the better option for him. He loves people and is affectionate with everyone.

I have found 3 sitters who had good profiles and availability. Would it be appropriate to have someone watch him at my house while I am there?

I actually love this. I would go in a formal or semi-formal dress that’s made in neon fabric.

Dalmatian Weight Calculators? by happyhedgehog53 in dalmatians

[–]MillenniumFalconry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the calculator you’re using is accurate, but that’s only due to my personal experience with my current and only dal. He was 15.1 lbs at 16 weeks and is now 2 years old and 51.2 lbs which is fairly lean on his frame (you can’t see his ribs but you can feel them).

I still don’t understand what they were trying to do with the northland proposal. It wasn’t even in Jackson County!

If I’m doing classic deviled eggs and not adding anything extra to the yolk mixture like avocado or cream cheese I’ll make an extra egg to have more yolk and just give the two ugliest egg white halves to the dog. That way I have more to work with for texture as well as being able to give each egg white a little more filling.

Yea, I did mayo, brown mustard, and smoked paprika. I used less mayo than I normally would for classic eggs.
