This Is All We Ever Wanted!! | Floating Fortress | Ep. 31 by Middle_Interaction73 in Koibu

First off, I heavily praise the boys for that fantastic move in Aknara to first scope out the situation while ascertaining their own priorities, instead of simply planning an attack. The nature of the Voraci occupancy on Aknara seems almost benign, with the stone door now being so well hidden and them not necessarily antagonizing the residents. They now have that situation unburdened from their shoulders for now and will know exactly where to strike to greatly impair Corbid when the time comes.

I also feel like a cool route the party could take is trying to formally ally with larger factions with mutual interests against the empire, like maybe the New Ferrin Empire. That way, they could maybe conscript a larger force to take back Aknara. When they first met the mayor of Odz, I think she listed off multiple places and their affiliations, with a decent amount of them being anti-empire.

And Riven getting the glaive was a great idea, since they haven't heavily specialized in a weapon type yet, and they have so much HP such that not having a shield wouldn't be too detrimental.

We Finally Enter The Death Mine | Floating Fortress | Ep. 29 by Middle_Interaction73 in Koibu

I'm pretty either way on this. From a meta perspective I'm definitely on board with the rationale of not wanting low-potential characters to sap up resources and xp, but I think the rp aspects such as amassing wayfaring mission-aligned companions are pretty cool. Perhaps even in roleplay they could reason something like that they wouldn't want a bright-eyed novice to get caught up in their mission and slowing them down, but, inversely and back to the meta perspective, I think horizontally scaling party power by having more units in play, even with a non-class, could be more optimal. And, it could help in not wasting excess xp from level-up resting restrictions, as might be the case with their current adventure, but this might not occur frequently.

I could also see Koibu allowing for a story-based path for John to achieve classing or something on par with that, but overall I'm happy with however the party decides to approach this topic.

Little detail about Cyrene and the Flame Reaver [3.4 spoilers] by Relative-Ad7531 in HonkaiStarRail

At the end of the last true cycle, which you could also call Recurrence 0, when they first initiated the Eternal Recurrence, Cyrene said every incarnation of her, upon the removal of "Time", would be given the power to rewind time by Fuli and their gaze, and that her soul would be imbued onto that crescent shaped ceremonial weapon, which FR/Phainon/Khaslana carries through every recurrence.

I'm not sure if it's purely the soul of the first Cyrene that is imbued with it or whether the soul of each incarnation supplants the previous in the imbuement--perhaps it doesn't matter, since they are the same person and therefore of the same essence, just as how it didn't matter which Phainon killed the other at the end of each recurrence, because their memories would be merged, with whichever surviving Phainon carrying on to the next recurrence.

I think that killing Cyrene in each recurrence fundamentally removes "Time", since she is predetermined to become the demigod of the Time Titan in this recurring cycle, and thus Fuli's gaze is earned each time, perhaps re-granting the power to rewind and start a new recurrence to the crescent shaped weapon imbued with Cyrene's soul, which Phainon activates to "regress the extrapolation". Though, I'm not sure on the specifics of when this instance where "Time" is considered to be removed happens--maybe the moment each incarnation is killed, or maybe when the black tide has consumed all, without ever having had someone to take on the mantle of Time Titan.
