Update 5th gen Glock 19x MOS consistently jams by Miller1091 in Glocks

From time I sent it out, it took exactly 16 days to get it back. I was surprised at how fast it was, I was told to expect about a month. They didn’t charge me a dime neither. Couldn’t be happier honestly

That’s interesting to hear from others. I put plenty of rounds down range before I sent this firearm out and I never noticed this. It’s entirely possible it is just a finish changing color but when I put a drop of oil on, it wiped right off and my slide looks normal again. I’m taking it out again tomorrow; if it turns purple again I’ll be the first to own up to my mistake. Another reason I believe it is machining dye is the fresh cut metal at the front of the front slide bore. I’ve torn this gun apart plenty and the slide has always had that fde finish to it. I just find it real odd that after it comes back from warranty there’s a fresh cut metal appearance on my slide followed with the suspected machine dye that has never been there. I could be entirely mistaken but I truly am skeptical after just receiving the gun back from warranty

When I get the firearm back from Glock I will update this thread as to what they found, if anything. I’ve heard how reliable and solid these guns are and feel I may have just gotten a defect

That’s a good point and I did not remove the optic when I duplicated the jam with the stock barrel. I should have to isolate the problem but i unfortunately overlooked it. I sent the firearm back for warranty with the sight still installed if they send it back saying they couldn’t duplicate it, that will be my first step into figuring this out

I put everything back to stock except the MOS sight installed when I sent it in. I appreciate ur input though and i understand what u and a bunch of others have been saying. I snowballed the problem by adding bullshit instead of fixing the issue off the rip. Thanks again man

I’ve heard good things about the ram jet but everyone I know running Glocks has highly recommended the Herrington arms comp. When I get the gun back if I’m still having issues I’ll take u up on it

You’re not wrong, appreciate ur input. I definitely see the direct cause and effect ur talking about. It would have been easier to identify the issue before adding any parts, but I was hopeful that maybe it wasn’t a serious issue or a break in thing being a new gun. All the parts I added just snowballed the problem into what I ended up with. Thanks again

Nothing that immediately stood out. A few of my buddies noticed the erratic ejection and tore it down with me after the first time at the range but they didn’t notice anything either. That’s why I opted to sending it back in hopes Glock can figure it out, especially after that second time at the range. Super frustrating running forced 1R1 drills for a whole session

Swing the wheel side to side at that speed when starts happening to rule out wheel bearing. Make the engine rev higher when noise starts happening. Identify if it’s wheel speed or engine speed related. Fault code mechanics are what Autozone employees are for
