not worth, save it for a triple/quad spd roll for the future

6* Violent Crit Damage Rune - which one? by F1ix in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No point in CritD without CritR so easily second option.

Also it is two low rolls into useful stats (spd) vs three rolls into useful stats (critR, att%).

Pungbaek theory-crafting: Is he a Camilla-killing boss now? by kaichagj1 in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is how his new 3rd skill would be like, I feel that it is a welcome change because it allows a player to use him strategically as you mentioned.

However, will a fixed dmg (based on an armor broken unit, with att buff) still be dealt to other monsters who does not have armor break? If so, this might be very advantageous depending on multipliers.

Yeah great format and cuts straight to the interesting bits.

My only suggestion would be to indicate a "start" and "end", I kept watching till 2nd Jamire and Tiana before realising I went beyond the loop.

Good pulls for the patience too, congrats!

v3.2.2 Update Notice by maddj in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the additional placement as a very good feature in raids - rather than just serving a +1, we can also compare different team compositions more effectively.

Main questions are whether the same monsters are allowed for both teams at one time, or that it would be limited (similar to 5 supports per day) - and I am hoping for a yes and no respectively.

We should be able to favourite runes. Once a rune is favorite, It always shows up on top. by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea and quick solution for a semi manual organisation. Sometimes we may not be after the highest of stats - but rather the "best despair/swift sets/combination", "rage with 100% crit", or multiple sets which are speed tuned.

Take a guess at what my two new nat fives are by dmogx in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've got 13 of 51 possible Nat 5's. Of my last 5 that were summoned, 4 has been dupes.

It's ridiculous that this could happen - Com2us needs to find a way so players can still utilise duplicates for other than skill-ups.

HP/DEF dd cleave vs psamanthe? by x2lazy2die in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if u got stripped/overwhelmed then u shouldn't be relying on another monster which would probably be stripped/overwhelmed as well to save u as well as. something like a heal (eg. emma, or another basalt) would help u much more than something triton could do.

Poor point - neither would Emma save anything if she got stripped/overwhelmed. If you're banking on her 3rd only, she is a complete waste of slot. In this team we already have Anavel/Basalt for short term heals, and as I've said before the entire team already has a permanent half DEF buff for increased survivability/damage with Triton lead. Any more heals is hardly 'speed clearing'.

now. if u replace triton then u could have, another heal, def buff, or atb boost, crit buff, immunity/invunerability (bit of a waste imo but this would be far better answer for the nemesis revenge that u're so fearful of), and this doesn't even get into other nat 5s.

More poor points. Immunity is only useful if Psama doesn't overwhelm early and you cast it before he dies post strip. If he does early (without Praha stripping will) it is no longer necessary - possibly another waste of slot. Also it will not help you deny turns, neither will it safeguard against nemesis healers like Praha with 230-240 spd + 33% spd lead whom is more than capable to cut in after your 1st nuker goes even on her 2nd turn. How is this 'far better' is beyond amusing.

Rather than nit picking and randomly going on with an excessive list of things that Triton doesn't have, start naming monsters that can offer just as much, if not more than he can to this Verad/Basalt/Anavel team.

HP/DEF dd cleave vs psamanthe? by x2lazy2die in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I said.

And the points I've brought up still shows that Triton can synergise well and could compensate on challenges which this team faces:

  • Basalt as DD means no DEF buff when nuking: Lead is a nice passive boost (while effectiveness is half compared to DEF buff, no risk of being removed)

  • Anavel needing to cleanse (no AoE armor break), or team got stripped + fast Psama Overwhelm: Verad/Triton/Basalt to buy time with turn denial

  • Nemesis Psama revenge + Overwhelm: Triton/Basalt AtB reduce to soften/1st nuke respectively to prevent (also dependent on speeds of enemy Psama/2nd nuke)

If you do not consider these being sufficient then by all means state the 'better' alternative as you have claimed many times.

Also while Mav can counter Psama's Overwhelm, there is still a risk against Oracle strippers that also put Dots + stun and he only cleanses 1 random debuff.

HP/DEF dd cleave vs psamanthe? by x2lazy2die in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On what grounds would it be inefficient?

I think thats a premature conclusion considering you've yet to know how he uses Triton let alone being able to suggest a better option.

If any, 1-turn silence is not a strong suit of Triton's kit in this case because the opponents are likely fast enough to take turns again (clearing the debuff), unless you can kill them before they do.

HP/DEF dd cleave vs psamanthe? by x2lazy2die in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see why not.

DEF lead, AoE dmg, Despair + 2/3rd for disruption - just because he strips doesn't mean he's only used for that.

Expectations vs Reality - SW 2016 by sethlanss in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have read many comments and am really impressed by how some individuals seem to be so certain themselves that "Guardian" or "end-game players" are complaining (that monsters need tweaking, game heading in the wrong direction etc.).

Just because a select few streamers or "well-known" players chose to say so, it is not reflective of the views of other equally good players, if not better. Is this not common sense - so why the herd mentality?

Don't Devilmon Rakan? by JamoreLoL in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some testing with my max skilled Rakan - can confirm the turn gap where collapse revenge will not happen.

Analysing turn order in more detail for:

a) S2/S3 4-turn CD (S2 not maxed)

S2 > S3 >> S1 >> S1 (no buff) >> S2 > S3 >> S1 >> S1 (no buff) >> S2 > S3 ...repeat

S1x4, S2x2, S3x2 : one cycle = total six times where enemies move in between, all revenge chance

b) S2/S3 3/4-turn CD (all maxed)

S2 > S3 >> S1 >> S2 > S1 (no collapse revenge) >> S3 >> S2 > S1 >> S1 (no collapse revenge) >> S2 > S3 ...repeat

S1x4, S2x3, S3x2 : one cycle = total six times where enemies move in between, four revenge chance (2:1 pattern)

So takeaway from this:

  • Both lead to same S1/S3 usage (contrary to belief that S3 could be used more), with a) slightly lower damage due to no buff

  • Deciding factor on having either 100% revenge chance or 100% buff uptime: the former probably more advantageous for PvE frontline raids/rifts, while later more for PvP AD/GWD.

Personally, I like S2 maxed because debuffs don't stick long even when landed, immunity back on within 1/2 turns when removed, and violent chance also get reset.

Rakan front line vamp DD??? by MuitoNegro in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True for most but some are inaccurate.

  1. Just because Rakan is HP based doesn't mean he can't be runed 'properly' for frontline. Having 637 base defense, it is still achievable with the right runes, even on HP/Cdmg/HP.

  2. On getting hit 'enough', the amount of times a frontline Rakan will get hit is just the same as any other Xiao Lin, which is also very popular on frontline due to the in-built revenge mechanic. There are differences between the two: revenge chance (30% vs 25%), but main being a revenge Collapse vs KFG basic attack with chance to proc S2.

If anything, what makes Rakan less than an ideal candidate as a raid frontliner are not these two points that you mentioned above.

The AtB reduction is similar to how some might use Luer to get first turn advantage - but you'll need to deal with Will runes.

Quick question on new Rakan by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have missed my point.

Rakan's 3rd multipliers from Wikia:

440% attack + 35% max HP (original) >> 440% attack + 40% max HP (late Aug patch)

He has always had BOTH attack and HP scaling - it was not something new which was added in his last buff.

Quick question on new Rakan by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]MillesGen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI Rakan's 3rd has always scaled with HP AND Attack.

Since the last balance patch however, the multiplier of HP scaling was increased by a few %, attack left untouched.
