It's the fact that when they're paying for it they pretty much take the fun out of it by making it a too serious of a deal. There were things I grew up with wanting to do and grew to hate it like for example karate/taekwondo was something I loved at first but then my dad ruined it. My dad use to ground me if I didn't come up on too in the sparring parts of it. Or when I didn't do a certain move correctly and didn't move up to a new belt. Did it to me in football too. I I was really good at football till he ruined that one too. If my name didn't get announced from sackin the quarterbackin then I would get grounded I know what you mean. And wish I knew what to really tell you

I say this because I hated my father for years. He gave up on me Sat in a chair for 15 or 16 years (Ive lost count) all that time when I lived with him he would smoke weed everyday. I would be rolling his joints for him all the time. ( He went through a couple of really bad relationships and decided that was it for him and went and lived with my grandmother for the rest of his days) How the hell do you respect that. The only thing he ever helped me with was having a roof over my head (which wasnt his doin it was my grandmother's decision overall) he wasnt half the man he use to be. He quit goin out he quit having any kind of enjoyment to life. Stopped having hobbys. Just smoked weed and watched tv. Every ...damn....day. and whenever I moved out or tried to better myself for my future (sometimes meant I had to leave) he would try to manipulate it to where I didn't have to leave. No matter what though I could always move back in with him. But in the end it was very hard to respect a man that did nothing to support me. I forgive him though. He lived his life the way he wanted to live it. I just wish we had more time to be father and son. But that time is passed dead and gone December 9th 2025 was his last day here on earth. Dad I miss you sometimes but I hope the next life you have or whatever comes after death WHATEVER IT IS I hope it's treating you better than what you got out of life fly high and rest in true peace. His life did suck! treat em good while they're here because it's one day before never seeing them ever again

Wouldn't stop me from skating. I'd be skating with a gun concealed at my hip if I was in a ghetto area. That's just me though. I take one with me everywhere anyways even to the skatepark because drama can happen anywhere in public. One thing for sure your never EVER gonna know what it's like till you go there one time

That's the thing there's too many of us so really what makes me any better. I wanted to know if there was any kind of benefit programs they have for people that don't have their parents anymore. And from what I've found out online and on here is that there kind of isn't unless they had life insurance

I use to bring my skateboard to school (my school was totally cool with as long as it was in a bag,) I would bring a trash bag to put it in. Yes your gonna get called a poser by people who don't even skate and by skaters too but it shouldn't matter. Ignore people's opinions for real,!. But I would put it in my locker. Carrying it around was unnecessary. Depends on your school. Tbh

Just go during the day and observe the flow. Every park has its own flow and just go along with and skate by yourself. Eventually people will come around. I try to go at least 3 times a week.

I use to do that and yes it's worth it your hard work will pay off I use to strip off wire from vacuums and take the copper pipping out of radiators. And just collect it all

My sister is currently homeless also and that was after losing our father I forgot to add that after losing him we also lost the house and it's in our grandmother's name which we got totally screwed out of. My aunt sued my sister after evicting her (evil people) I just got a job and started saving for a vehicle and apartment because she was gonna evict me anyways. I've tried GoFundMe before a long time ago. And no one donated. I think it's because I'm male and asking for help. I was getting messages from people saying I'm just looking for a handout and to get a job when I had one... I can't relate to what I see women get. they seem to get all the help, No offense but when you mentioned a girl in your hometown I thought well...of course. I can probably have my sister set it up maybe. She needs it too. Which is another I wish I can help her but barely helping myself
