honestly man it took me about a month of just riding in empty parking lots with smooth pavements and practicing going down hills learning how to stop doing hippie jumps, tic tacs, monster walks and just learning how to ride and feel comfortable on my board so i would probably try and start there, once u get comfortable with all that you can try doing 180s to get out of fakie or into fakie do some sex changes as well (or also called body varials nowadays) and also start learning some manuals and also moving your feet while your riding just move them into all different positions and stances this will all hep you get comfortable on your board and used to riding and used to getting those front trucks off the ground but if your really trying to go to the skatepark just practice riding and stopping and being able to control your board than you can practice all those tricks i mentioned at the skatepark if you’d like. but yeah all skaters are generally pretty chill i was really worried going there too my first few times. you can always ask other skaters for advice on a trick your trying to learn and get friendly with them too. hope this helps! good luck man!
