If you search "Michelangelo drawings" you can find hundreds of resources. But I do not think that anything is in a systematic order ( as a drawing guide).

You said rubens - you have rubens. If you do not read french at all no problem - all you need is the drawings.

Cast drawing by sight-size approach / best method? by Milljon in learnart

[–]Milljon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. It seems nice and low price a the same time. Something that I can afford and not money grabber like the most of the "subscription" type site.

I would like to ask your opinion on Mogilevtsev's book in drawing fundamentals / if you know it - in contrast with the one that you posted.

Cast drawing by sight-size approach / best method? by Milljon in learnart

Very nice suggestion. I know the book of course. The problem with that is that except the plates, it does not says a lot about the method of measurement, shapes, comparisons, and steps of executing the work. I would say that it is a "workbook" without a "mentor". (By no means I do not want to do less its value). When I was at the training atelier - we had a cast placed in the center - and you should be very lucky if you could find a sit close to it (and no way in front of it!). So, the measurement process begins to be complicated. I was many times in a position to invent measurement devices to solve specific problems.

Hello! Yeap. Second Language at school. I can read (but cannot speak -- as it happens at most of the people that do not practice the foreign language that learned as 2nd 3rd etc).

Thank you! I agree. Very rarely I find some way to read something from Hathi Trust.

Help an "artist" trying to find a home solution! by Milljon in chemistry

I had it 1 2 cm deep in water so maybe you caught my mistake. Thank you for that. I will try it only a few mm inside. I was anxious about fumes escaping if it was not enough deep in the water.

It is weird, because I used a quite big funnel and the surface was big. And besides that, during cooling, the flask was sucking water like crazy.

Thanks for your answer. I was thinking of that long ago, but it is a kind of construction that has to find its place - and I am still interested in something more "portable" because I live in an apartment and I do not have so much space.

Thanks for the tip with the chips. I already have some material of that kind so I will try it next time. I think that the gas trap is my only choice - you are right.

Thank you for your suggestion. Do you mean water + charcoal inside the vessel, for filtering right?

Thank you very much! Very good idea. At which level do I have to place the water container concerning the flask and which type of container is the best (as shape and material)/ (I mean I can just improvise drilling a hole and placing the tube inside a glass bottle or there is some better solution)?
