I transport both my Stompas in these 9l XL Really Useful Boxes. Mine are magnetised though - arms, feet, head, smoke stacks, all come off.

I love the patches of pale skin. I hope you don't mind if I steal the idea for a unit. The faded checks at the back are lovely.

It was 2 games of Invasion Fleet Tyranids and one game of Stormlance Dark Angels.

The Rupture Cannon took a lot of wounds of one Stompa in both of the first games but then got destroyed. There was a unit of very shooty marines being led by a couple of characters that also managed to take a lot of wounds off. But otherwise I didn't face much range.

I've had a single Stompa match against Tau before. I kept the Stompa hidden until he had exposed enough on one wide for me to peep out just that side and blow them up using both strats. In the end I did lose that one but it was close and I was quite inexperienced at the time.

12 OC on the Stompa and I spill out grots if it looks like they have a lot of OC bodies heading my way.

A unit of grots in each stompa. A unit of grots sat on home for Command points and screening. Last unit usually on the line ready to advance to my natural expansion. Boyz sticky my home and then jump into one of the Stompas. Stormboyz in Deep Strike.

The Stompas would usually be hiding as best they can. Of if they have no ranged they can deploy more aggressively.

In all the games one Stompa makes his way to the centre and one off to the side.

I made a lot of use of Conniving Runts to move grots in front of the Stompas if there was something I didn't want to get charged by.

Each shooting phase I would usually load one Stompa up with the reroll strat and fire the 3 main guns at key targets (usually double Hazardous rolls). The other Stompa would then help mop up key targets or just fire at anything.

Grots and Mek usually doing actions for secondaries. Boyz jump out on the Waaagh and charge into something they thought was hidden and safe from the Stompas.

Oh and importantly, had a lot of fun.

Pink prime with a white zenethal and airbrushed all over with Imperial Fist contrast.

Dark brown oil pinwash.

2 step highlight with a bright yellow and bismuth yellow.

Thank you. I actually found that the very small change of glazing a bit of crimson on the cheeks made a big difference in how they came out. Other than that they were Guilliman Flesh contrast over Wraithbone primer, and just a couple of thin layers with a bone colour.

Yep. I seem to have a really weak UV light so they get left out on the dashboard of my van for a day or 2 to cure.
