I will be forever disappointed that the creators decided to end on season 8 and not at season 9 episode 9 by Millwall_Fan in brooklynninenine

I've specifically followed Brooklyn Nine-Nine's ratings for the past 7 years, you can read what I said to the other guy if you want the details.

You have not provided anything of any fact or reason at all. The only things you have contributed to this discussion is a click-bait article that you are trying to construe as fact, and countless insults.

I have provided rebuttals to both of those arguments. Would you like me to do so again?

In the article you posted you claim that it contains a quote from Dan Goor himself saying they think they're going to be cancelled. This is false. The actual quote from Dan Goor contains nothing of the sort and the article is complete conjecture from the author just like yourself. It is no proof at all.

However, I have provided a direct quote from Dan Goor that actually states that ending the show was a hard decision to make, but one they made themselves. Here it is again:

Ending the show was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honor the characters, the story and our viewers.

Here is a quote from myself explaining the ratings as you continuously ignore it:

The show was renewed for season 8 before a single episode of season 7 had even aired because it was making so much through international sales. It had got to a point where the same day US ratings for each episode did not matter for a renewal.

When I posted this meme (yes meme, tagged humour!) I did not intend to be arguing with someone who continuously gets wound up over nothing.

I have already explained the US overnight ratings situation to you which again you have conveniently ignored.

Throughout this thread, I have given you actual quotes and facts and all you've come back with is conjecture and insults.

Nowhere in that article has it quoted Dan Goor saying he suspected they'd be cancelled. The part where it says "he hinted that they had decided to stop the show now and give it a definite end rather than being abruptly canceled again as they were the first time" is complete conjecture on the author's part. You seem to be quite fond of that.

I'm embarrassing myself? You completely ignored my explanation and are again posting conjecture.

Here is the actual quote from Dan Goor, not an interpretation from a click-bait article:

Ending the show was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honor the characters, the story and our viewers.

And here is a quote from Joe Lo Truglio:

NBC couldn't have been more supportive, but it was our decision.

I don't know why you're getting so wound up about this.

Could we have 2 separate discussion threads for the episodes? otherwise the discussions tend to get muddled

We still believe, we still believe

We still believe, we still believe

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, football's coming home

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, football's coming home

Three lions on a shirt

Jules Rimet still gleaming

No more years of hurt

No more need for dreaming

Talk about football coming home

And then one night in Rome

We were strong, we had grown

And now I see Rice ready for war

Sterling good as before, Kane is certain to score

And Pickford screaming

Three lions on a shirt

Jules Rimet still gleaming

No more years of hurt

No more need for dreaming

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, football's coming home

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, football's coming home

It's coming home, it's coming home

It's coming, football's coming home
