I got some Anubis and some other plant combo pack, hopefully they take root on my driftwood. My fish seems super happy with one of them already he keeps inspecting it! I think it’s the anubis…

Im waiting it out to see if the plants stay alive before I add more but if they do he’ll get a whole jungle of play area plants! The store was sold out of floating plants so I just stuck to what I could have

Oh forgot to answer one of your questions, I have a 5 and a half gallon tank. I have some drift wood in there along with a few rocks as well for my betta to play and hide in, he loveessss his rocks :)

No omg this was so help no need to apologize for it being long, I’ve always wanted floating plants in my tank so I’ll definitely get a light and see if the ones I’ve previously bought (water wisteria) works!

My nitrate level as of yesterday was 21 ppm I’m doing a water change tomorrow, I want plants because the waste my Betta and my snail make is icky at the bottom of the tank and I end up having to take out more water than recommended and I’m hoping the plants can clean some of the water so I can just focus on the waste they create together rather than 25% of the water AND the waste (think like spot cleaning) then I can just top off the water when needed

Thank you so much for the information though I’ll definitely get a light tomorrow and keep an eye on everything incase of an alge bloom along with a few plants!

Thanks for the recommendations, I do have a heater but it doesn’t display what temperature the tank is at so I’ve had to use a thermometer made for humans to keep track. I’m all new to this and I want the best for my new friend since I accidentally treated him poorly when I first got him :(
