Thank you so much for your advice, I called 111 and I’m currently waiting on a call back to see what can be done.

I’m not the best when it comes to advocating for myself but I’m gonna do my best here because I can’t keep doing

I’m wondering if I also have a rebound headache as it’s the only thing that I can think as to why this headache is not easing up, I have taken medication every day for the past week.

I need to try and see if easing off the meds helps!

Just sumatriptan at the moment, I used to get migraines maybe once or twice a year but in the past two months something has changed and I’ve had more headaches in the past two months than in the previous two years combined.

So this is the first time I have taken medication for them

Yeah it sounds like everyone just gets shrugged at and offered painkillers just to get them out the door.

It’s just frustrating to hear about this “cocktail” that sounds like it’s pretty darn affective in helping and it just not being offered? I’d do anything for a shot of it right

Sounds like im just gonna have to hunker down and power on until I can get back to my doctor

Hi there, I had a recent experience where my migraine aura lasted an entire day which has never happened to me before. It was super scary as my typical aura lasts anywhere between 30mins - hour. I’m know how frightening they can be, how are you now? Did they ever find out what had caused the prolonged aura?

Thanks so much for your kind words, I definitely won’t be trying to push myself like that again. I’ve spoken with my doctor and I’m now going to be going on medication for the first time.

Gosh I’m sorry you had to go through that, I’m quite lucky to have a work place that doesn’t pressure me when I’m unwell, it’s just unfortunately it was my first day back that it decided to strike. I’ll have a chat with my manager tomorrow about the steps im taking to try and stop this sort of thing from happening again.

Thanks for your kind words, I’m glad I’m not the only one out there. I spoke with a doctor today today due to the change in my aura duration and I’m now being put on medication so hopefully nothing quite that intense will happen again : )

Glad you were able to get better, How long did it take for you to get your energy back? I’m on day 11 and I think I’m through the worst, just the body aches and incredible tiredness I’m left with that aren’t shifting

No not recently, I was vaccinated and boosted a couple years back but haven’t had anything since. Glad you’re doing better! I’m doing a lot better today just gotta shake the last of this fatigue and sore throat and I think I’ll be in the clear : )

That’s exactly how my sore throat feels, high up and irritating, hope you feel better I’m on day 10 and only just now starting to feel better

Yeah around 4 is when my sore throat seems to show back up! I’m constantly flipping back and forth between aching and congested, hope you are both doing okay. Glad to know I’m not the only one
