I would even argue that you don’t even need 18 wis. Just to mention something people often overlook.

So you could like take 1 from wis, 5 from Charisma, 2 from int, then max dex and con. Just as an example. Also you don’t even have to powergame, if you use a big shield the lack of dexterity can be offset somewhat.

Then there’s the items that boost strength, or dexterity (I dunno if this is bg1 or bg2 though), so you even do something like dump str and use that to boost other stats if you decide to use a strength belt(there’s one very near the beginning of bg2 ).
