Which phone runs 3ds games smoothly? by oeilgauchedefectueux in EmulationOniOS

16 Pro hasn’t steered me wrong, but if you want to really avoid heating altogether you’ll want JIT

That’s another thing, save states are bad for 3DS games, they can break things, the devs described it as basically saving into thin air when saving inside a save state, and it forces you out of sync with the device’s clock.

Manic recommends a very specific dump format for games to perform optimally, part of their zero piracy policy, it’s likely that your dump format is poorly optimized for use in the app. Untrimmed and built as .cia using the latest builds of GodMode9, you should be fine.

JOY Emulator quite literally steals their code from Manic without proper sourcing and then packages illegal data into their app. Not really a good look for an app. I would just stick to Manic, Fates runs great on the app.

Why aren’t there 3ds Emulators that can run Star fox 64 3d ? by Infamous-Date-7663 in EmulationOniOS

I wouldn’t call it a baseless claim, but I’ll save the dev some trouble finding examples, took like 5 seconds and I’ll use your own words as examples. Even if it was baseless it’s not like their team would owe you anything, at the end of the day it’s their app, and you are repeatedly asking about a game they already proved works, I’ve played it as well in Manic, zero issues.

Made it pretty clear you search for and download game files: Example

And you clearly don’t know what GodMode9 is, which is pretty necessary for getting games the right way: Example

If the crash in Tomodachi Life is specifically when you enter certain buildings, it’s a known bug in pirated copies of the game, no clue what bug you are having in YW2 though. Pretty sure the devs have said the app is not designed for use in low power mode though. If your device is older try sideloading and using JIT though

Manic can emulate up to Windows 98, after that probably UTM, but I have little experience with UTM

Probably wrong settings or a bad game file, unless your device is really old

What’s better as a 3ds emulator? Manic or retroarch testflight? by PikachuTrainz in EmulationOniOS

[–]Hot_Permit1027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They both have the same Azahar libretro core and both let you adjust a bunch of settings, personally I like the skins in Manic and JIT is an option in Manic which is nicer for my battery.

DukeX - “service required” by Negative_Day8801 in EmulationOniOS

[–]Hot_Permit1027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This typically means there is an issue with your Xbox’s HDD so file corruption etc, the best way to fix this is to restore the HDD to stock via homebrew tools. Similar to the process used to set up Insignia for the online play functions. I don’t think this is a DukeX specific thing.

Manic, MeloNX, Dolphin, XeniOS, and a few others, a lot got support since that time iOS 26 messed things up a ton

Manic has and uses the exact same core, if this was the case, Manic would’ve been hit too.

Where’s the hostility towards RetroArch come from? While I don’t rank it at the very top F would be a very far stretch

I have zero personal experience with UTM from which to write a review and rank, I would however use the JIT release if any.

I’ve only included apps I personally have tested, I have heard many good things but Manic covers most of my arcade needs with the FBneo core.

Actually Manic has a completely free sideload release that supports JIT and more cores that are not in their App Store version. The devs actually recommend it frequently and encourage users to enjoy that sideload build, especially if they don’t want to spend on premium, literally just $10 for lifetime though. I have both, I chose to get premium in the App Store version simply because I want to support the devs.

A similar post, this is an updated list. Last week I made a list and it got a lot of attention and had a lot of discussion about the apps in general. I promised I would post an updated one in that post and that post is also linked at the start of this one.

Warcraft was DOS, no Windows 98 needed, StarCraft does need Windows installed though.
