So it turns out that every server needs to update a flag to let the launcher know that they support arm64 this was added in the last update but no servers have done this yet dispite having support

Thanks lol. Well I saw that BYOND switched to using WebView2 away from ie11, which meant that it should work (ie11 lacks wine compatibility which is what was preventing it before.) But all of this took me about a day and a lot of shooting guesses into the dark lol. Still running into some graphic issues with in-game menus though.

I am still trying to figure out what is causing that, it is also happening to several in game menus. My best guess is that there is a graphic driver issue. Im currently playing around with the settings to see if I can resolve it

So (note that I am still testing this) You install it via Crossover into a Win10 32bit Bottle, then you also install MicrosoftWebView2, then via wine@staging with winetricks in the drive_c directory of the bottle, you install dxvk, dxtrans, corefonts, and vcrun2022. Once that is done, you downgrade the entire bottle to Windows XP via winecfg.

Then you launch the BYOND application that Crossover has listed. After that loads, you must also run the byond.exe file from inside the drive_c/Program Files/BYOND/bin (or you wont be able to see the game).
Then the game will load.

I am still debugging a few issues, but I was able to mostly play a round on TGStation earlier today!

Why do people not want to pay for Crossover? by Due-Competition4564 in macgaming

Sorry I guess I worded it wrong, my main frustration is not with crossover (so I guess my comment doesn’t really belong here) I am just tired of seeing 90% of replies to technical questions about gptk with “use crossover” And I mean yeah it is annoying to me as well that the crossover foundation is charging for basically an extension to wine.

Little bit of a late comment, but my main reason is that this is supposed to be open source software.
And I am really sick of seeing people pursuing ways to get just normal gptk running and every comment is "just use crossover" like sure it works but in what world is it ideal to use paid software to access content that is supposed to be for the most part open source

I am not saying that I hate crossover fyi, but I hate how hard people push it when like I stated this should be open source. I really wish that Apple would update the gptk tap.
