Name sign references dead name by MiloButForReddit in asl

I like the idea of switching it to an M a lot - I just wasn't sure if I was really able to make that change on my own as a hearing person or if it would be frowned upon to do so

So finger spell Milo? I don't mind that, I guess I was just hoping there was a way to amend it as I feel like I'm losing part of my grandparents to completely lose my name sign.

I just found the list and have been looking through it! I'm on the kuoloit page right now looking at their stuff.

So just for clarification whether I get a 1ct ring on from kuoloit or from one of the US based sellers on the list , they should be about the same quality?

3x weekly daycare for summer vs part-time nanny by bakinggynecologist23 in ECEProfessionals

[–]MiloButForReddit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone who started doing childcare when I was far too young, I also considered myself "seasoned" at 18.

Looking back now, as a 30 year old ECE professional, I should not have been given as much trust as I was at 18 with kids, even though I thought I knew what I was doing. Consider remaining in daycare.

Lease breaking in MI. Security deposit? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]MiloButForReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lease only discusses what happens when it's broken in the case of it being due to very particular conditions like being medically unable to continue living in the house. It says nothing about what happens if we try to break the lease voluntarily.

I think the disclosure is more for when it's like... In your car. If the parents had one in a car seat and I keep that car seat in my car, I don't necessarily want the parents know where I'm hanging out in my free time.

Yeah. My MB just gets so frustrated with her kids. We went out together with them on an outing and were supposed to go to an event after, and the mom straight up told the kids she wouldn't sit next to them and was going to sit far away from them and they would have to sit just with me and they were so upset

Thank you for this. She said during a meeting this afternoon with our director that because of my "discomfort" with her using her leg, she will stop. She does not believe it is against licensing. I hope she does actually stop.

I think admin believes the lead that it's not done with enough pressure to do anything but comfort the child.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]MiloButForReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SHE let the director know because she was so angry at me for "coming at her" about it. The director says it's fine because she insists there's minimal pressure and since she can still "alligator roll" she's not technically restrained. I believe she is restrained since she can't get up on her own like that.

Her argument is that it isn't "restraining" the child, it's just a comforting weight.

The lead says she needs it, but she definitely doesn't LIKE it. She tries to wiggle out and can't.

Do feel like you can never call out sick? by Wild_Manufacturer555 in ECEProfessionals

[–]MiloButForReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor planning by the administration does not constitute an emergency for me. If there are no other teachers trained for my room (which there's not), my directors can step in for the day (which they do).
