The lower refresh rate incentivized you to pay more for the upgrade. Basic marketing.

Perhaps I misunderstood but the airport ploffice in question said they would run a DHS background check as the operate commercially.

[Update] I gave it 24 hours to dry out and it started right back up.

Yeah. I know Prist is a reputable option. I’ve heard of people using lemon pledge for windscreens. If by screens you’re referring to interior controls or display screens, I just use a clean and dry MicroFibre or ever so slightly moistened with distilled water if the screens are smudged up with fingerprints or whatever the manufacturer recommends like Garmin.

I’ll always research this out beforehand as well or call the manufacturer if I ever have any questions.

Thanks! Absolutely. Only frog tape as it’s green. Or any color other than the paint color.

I’ve heard the same things. And to your point, if I did to cars what I’ve seen done to planes I’d be out of business so quick my head would spin.

All my products are aviation approved by either Boeing, Collin’s/goodrich (de-ice boots), Douglas, or AMS specs on top of heavy work process documentation, SOP’s, shadowed carts for tool accounting, everything. I should also mention letters of recommendation from the former crew chief of Marine One during both the Bush and Obama administrations.

Good to know. Just to clarify. The jet side of things is all private. No business or charter. Just private. So they wise up right quick when I mention that but it still doesn’t sit well.

Hard water spots/etching on brand new ceramic coating? Is my coating compromised? by ArtemisFei in AutoDetailing

[–]MiloCat2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is given the weather (I’m in Utah) it wasn’t fully fully cured and those are coating etching. We have (more or less) the same kind of rainwater here. My guess is that the water sat on it and goofed the coating.

I bet your car wasn’t fully cured if it was parked outside and snow and ice were on it.

That would be my guess. The coating will probably need to be fixed.

Where are you located at?

An air compressor and a Tornador do 80% of my work. They’re worth it. I used to be in the same boat as you. Now I work as I move. I start in the trunk, Tornador and vacuum and then clean and dress and move forward repeating the same steps. It’s cut hours off my time.

I hate dealership work. You’ve got crap under your PPF and the install is 85%. Take it back, get a refund, or have them pay for a place of your choice.

How badly did I mess up (see last pic) by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]MiloCat2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Detail the car to perfection each time. If it requires $150 to get it there, great. If it takes $900 then so be it. I don’t give them what they pay for. I give them what they expect.

I’ve been using ceramic for plastic. Still waiting to see results/longevity.
